Random question, not sure where to ask this and I can't start threads. What is the latest on Jed Lowrie? I read he started a rehab stint last week? How has that gone and is he about to be back with the club? Thanks to anyone who can provide info.

Altuve looks like the bat boy sitting in the front compared to the other big guys.

And Jonathon Singleton looks like he thinks he's taking a picture in the 1800s.

He did start his rehab assignment(s) and was supposed to come back to Houston today to be evaluated.

Luhnow: He's progressing. He got some good work down there. He's coming back to Houston today, meeting with trainers & doctors determining the next step. He's getting closer and hope we can get him back in action soon. ... Hopefully they say he's ready to go and we can plug him in as early as this weekend.

Back in Houston... being evaluated by trainers here... possibly back for the weekend series if they feel he's healthy enough.

I suspect he heals precisely at the same time as Singleton or someone else is packing their bags for another club.

I noticed someone mentioned him favorably in the random trade thread, and I've seen his tweets posted a few times before, but who is Chandler Rome and where did he come from and what does he do?

It's so awesome seeing ESPN plastering their front page with Astros related stuff. I haven't followed much about baseball since the killer B's days but damn, I'm excited for this team!

I went to a game last year against the D-Backs and it was so empty that the batters could hear me shouting at them from the second level. Fast forward one year and we had at least 2/3 of the stadium filled out. Remarkable turn around and I'm glad that I hopped the wagon before they're where they are today.

He's McTaggart's understudy, fresh out of LSU.

Yep, they probably are waiting on possible moves before making a roster decision

Interesting, Carter hits a timely dinger yesterday and riding pine today. Wasn't it Hinch who said if you hit a homer you're automatically penciled in for the following game? I might be thinking back to Porter.

Yea Carters first game out of the break was a big one including a HR, and he was on the pine next day then too

Carter is strictly a platoon guy right now facing LHP, and I would be fairly surprised if he isn't moved by Friday

I would much rather have Marwin in there than Singleton though. And I don't care if the pitcher is Right handed, Left handed, kicks the ball up there, poops it from his butt, or whatever....no mas jon

Trout out of the lineup from I've seen. Take Game 2 boys!

I felt like Singleton put together a few good Ab's last time playing.

Maybe he can build on that today.

Guy has crazy bat speed/fluidity but is just not making good enough contact.

    Talent is there.

Yep, still not clear whether the light will turn on with Singleton, but just hasn't yet. I'm hoping we don't deal him and then find out he's another JD Martinez.
