    Guys, I'm not saying McHugh doesn't have a place on the club. He is capable at times of having quality starts like I expressed earlier, but he's not anything more than a 5th starter really and 5th starters are usually up and down. Good thing with him, he's going up against a bunch of other 4/5th starter types, thus all of his run support. He's not going to be going up against such pitchers in possible playoff series though.

    And that hasn't been the case at all

    He is a very good number 5 guy on your staff, and an ok number 4.

    I would prefer to see him as a number 5 if we go to the playoffs so he wont be counted on to be in the rotation

    It's that one inning. It's avoiding that one big inning, that one "bad" inning.

    He had those issues about 5 weeks ago, been very solid last 7 starts till tonight

    Hopefully tonight is an aberration not a return to trouble
