Actually several of us have said that she bears a lot of blame in the situation. By your own statement you seem incapable of viewing the incident with any objectivity and instead are basing your views on reactions to those you view as ideological opponents.

She was an idiot by showing disrespect to the cop. Watch the video, she's hostile from the very first words to come out of her mouth. He likely didn't want an irate woman with a lit cigarette throwing it at him or otherwise threatening him with it, so he probably wanted her out of the car so he could better neutralize her. Bottom line is this is the same old tired garbage story that we saw with Mike Brown, Eric Garner and now Sandra Bland -- idiots showing disrespect to cops, resisting cops' actions, and a series of events happens in which they died. All could have been avoided had they simply shown respect.

The way I see it, this would have been a non-event had she not escalated the situation. When you push people's buttons, you shouldn't then be shocked when somebody cracks -- and I didn't even think the cop really "cracked", she had MULTIPLE opportunities to stop acting the fool, but instead she didn't.

And then again, this would have been a non-story if it ended when she was taken to jail. That "evil cop" wasn't the one that killed her -- she killed herself. So a lot of the furor over the cop is misguided -- the woman killed herself.

Threatening him with a lit cigarette? That reminds me of Superman stopping a moving train but ducking when a gun is thrown at him. I know I can't convince you otherwise, and the beauty of all this is that we are entitled to our own opinions but police officers put on their pants one leg at a time just like we do. They are not religious figures BT they are men and women who apply for a job and get paid for the risk that goes along with it.

    LOL at you tho.

    "Honey, how was work today?"
"Welp babe, I was nearly assaulted by a lit cigarette, good thing I had my vest on"
"Oh no!! A lit cigarette!!!?? The horror!!! Are you ok?"
"Yeah, I had HER to get out of the car and face planted HER into the ground"
    "Over a cigarette?"
    "E--yup"
    "That'll teach'em"
    "E--yup, what's for dinner?"
"I figured we'd barbecue but we won't use coals. They're way to scary."

Her actions turned a warning for a minor traffic ticket into going to jail for the weekend for assaulting a cop...in what world was she not an "idiot"?

What actions? Speaking up for herself? Agitating a public servant? Smoking a cigarette? Refusing to put it out?
Even the Attorney General disagrees with your position but I'm sure her opinion is disqualified based on some technicality too huh.

She was stupid enough to turn what was going to be a quick and fairly pleasant interaction into a combative situation with her stupid attitude....she then broke the law by refusing to comply with a lawful order and then she assaulted a police officer.

I'll never sympathize with people who play kid games or act like assholes to cops when it backfires. It's honestly what they deserve for being terrible people.

Kind Sir, she did NOT have to get out of the car without cause.
I suggest you're a terrible person for calling a dead woman stupid, no matter how befitting to your argument.

The cop played no part in the woman's death. It's telling that the typical race baiters around here are so focused on him -- they're grasping for anything they can find to further their "racist cop" narrative which they think they have momentum behind. The woman killed herself.

I haven't mentioned it once. Your straw man tactics are predictable and for the most part, embarrassing. Your debate skill is getting a bit long of tooth.

    The SCOTUS disagrees with you.

As to calling her stupid, I'm not going to pretend she was something she's not simply because she killed herself. She was a dim witted person who suffered from mental illness. It's obviously an unfortunate situation, but we needn't lie about it.

The officer not liking her attitude is not why she went to jail, her refusing to comply with a lawful order is what initially triggered the trip to jail.

Again though, all she had to do is be a decent person and she'd have just gotten the warning and been on her way just like the person before her.

So are you looking to judge me based on the color of my skin rather than the content of my character (or rather strength of my argument)?

I hear some frown on that.
