Oh, I'm pretty sure it hasn't happened in a long time. I tried googling but found nothing.

Thought it would be interesting to revisit this topic. I'm surprised how many thought we'd be this good. I guess it should be expected (some homerism).

This dumbass right here, so pessimistic.

Seriously looking at all of the players one by one, there's not one guy that has over performed my expectations, and a few (Gattis, Carter, McHugh,Castro) who have underperformed my expectations, yet the whole is greater than I though it would be.

But I also didn't expect McCullers, VV, and Correa coming up and impacting the MLB team so quickly, so that has played a big part in our success thus far.

We are certainly ahead of schedule, and I'm thrilled about it.

we could be a hamels acquisition away from my prediction being scary good (i'll give myself at least partial credit for big time pitcher acquisition in general though...could have easily laid off the specificity in the prediction).

hope i'm wrong about wild card/losing wildcard game.

You expected Keuchel to lead the American League pitchers in ERA, WHIP, Wins and WAR at this point in the season? :)

I remeber watching him in college thinking he was a solid but not great college player.

I remember when he was drafted and thinking he could possibly be a long reliever.

I remember him in the minors thinking that he may become a Jeromie Robertson type starter.

I remember last year at the deadline hearing teams were offering fairly good prospects for him and thinking the Astros might.

Now..... I don't doubt anything about Dallas... He has been consistently the best pitcher in the American League and one of the top 5 pitchers over the last two years.

I don't know what vitamins he took to make him into a John Tudor/Greg Maddux mutant hybrid.... But he needs to give some to Appel.
