Clips have looked great on paper for the last few years. It never translated to on-court success. Why are you surprised that a team with talent can't make it work?
Wilbon is wack him and tony got the weakest show on ESPN nowadays. Pti used to be really good now it sucks. Wilbon really acts like he's the authority on basketball and nobody knows more then him. He acts as if James Harden didn't have an amazing season. He's prob one of the people that thought Derrick rose mvp season was special when harden put those same numbers up more efficiently his first season in Houston and only got 3rd team all NBA. It sucks because we all want ESPN to give houston some sort of respect deep down inside, but we all know short of winning a championship it's never going to happen. I mean had the Pelicans or Memphis advanced to the wcf they would be all over Anthony Davis and Marc gasol like there so good thats why they got that far but when harden Leads houston to the 3rd best record in the league missing 3 key starters for the majority of the year it goes unnoticed. Just on context that we won 3rd most games in the league had 2 seed in the toughest west ever and made the wcf losing to the champs and playing them close in 3/5 games and wining one. You would think that alone would be good enough to get some kind of credit.
You know what makes me happy? No one, not even ESPN, seem to care anymore that GSW are the world champions. I've barely heard a peep about them since they won the finals. It could be, after riding them all season long, they realize that GSW is a handicapped champion, having injured competition in every series in the playoffs.
damn Marcellus Wiley and Michelle got on heated argument on sportsnation this afternoon over the player awards. I never thought espn hacks like beadle got so offended with harden winning over curry. michelle beadle was getting owned so much she played the, "your being sexist and im a woman card."( happens at 1:56 of the video) check this ***** out... CRAZY <script src="http://player.espn.com/player.js?playerBrandingId=4ef8000cbaf34c1687a7d9a26fe0e89e&adSetCode=91cDU6NuXTGKz3OdjOxFdAgJVtQcKJnI&pcode=1kNG061cgaoolOncv54OAO1ceO-I&width=576&height=324&externalId=espn:13302827&thruParam_espn-ui[autoPlay]=false&thruParam_espn-ui[playRelatedExternally]=true"></script> http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:13302827
Good god. The media is sooo butthurt over this. I love this. KD needs to push this farther and farther.
yep, media is hugely butthurt over this. LOLs, she uses the Emmy's as an example. "We have the Emmy's in TV. If we don't like the outcome, we don't go make our own award." Uh, the Emmy's is a peer-based voting award system, Sugar. Just like what the NBPA is trying to do. It's obvious she is just speaking for the media to not lose their award.
Hilarious watching ESPN whining about the players be insecure. One might say that ESPN is being...insecure?
Wilbon lost so much respect from me on that. How arrogant to say the media are more right than the actual players. Wilbon knows how to write about the sport, the players know what it is like to play it. The arrogance to assume the media has to be right... Personally I think I would be more proud about the players voting me MVP than some Journalists and media personalities.
tbh i think thats what has the media's panties all tied up, they have wasted countless efforts trying to market stephen curry off on us that they are shocked that players havent been buying what they have been selling. The players saw what James Harden did in the league this year and they know who the better player is, I like that these player awards have FINALLY gotten people to talk about the great season Harden had, and he didnt sit out 4th quarters( the rockets were obviously not as healthy as the warriors)
Hahahah! This is great! All the media butthurt will continue into the season as Harden will always be announced as the players MVP vs. the media's MVP. Love it! Suck it haters!
Watch the Rockets end up with the top record in the league next year and the media does anything and everything they can to avoid the "best player on best team" narrative.
That was so stupid like why should I give a **** what the media thinks and you are trying to tell me you don't give a **** who the players think is the MVP? Really I can see someone not caring about either award like who cares really but why the **** should anyone give a **** what someone like Chris Broussard thinks over someone like dirk nowitzki? Id much rather hear from the players and if you don't then why the **** do you care if I do? Marcelis came off looking like the smart one here
Do Steph Curry and ESPN have some kind of secret sponsoring partnership or something we don't know about? It's getting ridiculous.
He called them out on their own media insecurity. And they got livid. It's the same thing on Sirius xm radio analysts and reporters blow this off the players turned analysts approve
