Jenkins is gone to Dallas. Harrell's a lock to be signed. Last 2 slots need to be shooters and/or vet leadership but can't have two of the same. Would not want Terry/Hayes. Terry/Arthur or Thornton/Hayes. Heck, would not complain about Thornton/Arthur either. Pick up Terry or Hayes later when Rockets clear roster space w/trade or due to injury.

I'd prefer Hayes/ Thorton & Terry to the list of guys "still out there" LMAO

How did Hayes play in Toronto? I wouldn't mind him playing trash PF minutes/insurance on Terrance and DMO. Problem is he is massively undersized, slow, and can't shoot but otherwise provides match up flexibility defensively.

I disagree because Thorton can provide more of an offensive spark physically and still give us shooting. He's preferable to Terry if he does those two things to our expectation but if he can't then we already know Terry can hit threes consistently - as he did last year and throughout the playoffs.

Other guys are non-factors. I think Hansbrough is signing with someone already

    Tyler hansborough has an offer.

Who is Arthur? Darell Arthur? We drafted him and got rid of him. Don't want. Undersized and can't guard centers which we could have Hayes do

Seraphin, Arthur and Boozer are all better then Hayes.

Arthur is better at the PF position..not the center position. The kid can't defend the same as Hayes which is why he will be brought on. I think Denver is going to extend an offer to Arthur.

    Never seen Seraphin play.

Boozer - I think his best days are past him.

So you can go sit in your corner and cry when the Rockets sign Hayes.

on the contrary, not having to pay tax is always a great great thing. there should be a way for local taxpayers to magically get out of having to heavily subsidize les' arena with all those taxes as well

    Lol wtf?

I'm a big Hayes fan, and I think it's highly likely at this point that we sign Hayes over any of the players I listed. My point was, responding to another post, that I wouldn't be upset if one of our signings fell through like Hayes, because there are still better players on the market, and yes all the players I listed are better then Hayes.

Boozer's best day's are behind him sure, but he still averaged 12 and 7 last season when Hayes was getting his DNP's. Arthur is a 4 true, which means we'd slide Motie to the 5 spot along with Capela if Howard where to get injured or in foul trouble. Seraphin is decent, young big body who rebounds, finishes, defends well and has a little mid range game.

Boozers numbers could have been inflated by playing for the lakers, cellar dwellers. Also was said in Toronto coaching staff didn't know how to utilize Hayes. He only played what 30 games ?

They signed Pablo prigioni. I think the Pelicans need a backup pg so he could go there

if Terry goes elsewhere, I want us to take a chance on young PGs...like Oliver Hanlan, etc...then Hayes should be signed for his leadership and maturity

Could be, but the season before he averaged 14 and 8 on the bulls... Also what makes you think Hayes would be utilized here correctly? Hayes thrived under Rick, McHale is the anti Rick, different system.

Are you seriously arguing that Hayes is better then Boozer?

I mean I get arguing Hayes would be a better fit for our team due to his locker room presence (even though I'd imagine would be a good locker room vet too), familiarity with our organization, and defensive abilities, but you really think Hayes is a better Basketball player?

Arthur is about to get signed by Denver but no further word on Boozer or Seraphin.
