That was our first series win against Boston since moving to the AL.

I've been reading the threads after watching the games, and all I want to know is...

    Are we still losing?

Our last series win against them was with Cecil Cooper managing.

I take back everything bad I've said about McHugh this year. Dude fixed the issues he had early this season and his pitching well. It was great watching him dance out of trouble tonight. Great win and nice to be +10 on the season again.

Horrible call to bunt with runners on 1st and 3rd, 1 out  Marisnick hasn't been hitting well

Worse case, there's runners on 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs, with Altuve batting

Best case, run scores with 2 runners on, 1 out, Altuve batting OR bases loaded, 1out, Altuve batting

The REAL problem was Marisnick's horrible execution, popping up a bunt

Great win regardless. Tomorrow, the Stros have a chance to sweep mighty the Red Sox.

Then, THE REMATCH vs the ROYALS

    Things may get chippy.

Na worst case is what happened

Funny that so many people assume a bunt is always going to work, when the fact is that isn't close to the truth

I'm all for bunting in the right situation, that just wasn't it

    Let's sweep em tomorrow

AJ won't let the KC series get "chippy"

The worst case is Marisnick DPing to end the inning.

There's only an 8% chance a bunt gets popped up. Jake simply f****d up.

AJ not allowing chippiness is what's really stupid. And it's why our batters get hit so much.

Disagree on the bunt, think it was a stupid decision

COMPLETELY agree on that being why we are getting hit so much, when Obe was disciplined for hitting AROD my first thought was "damn, maybe he shouldn't have hit him there but this is just setting us up to get hammered by opposing pitchers"....if you didn't like what he did, discipline him behind the scene, don't do it in the media

And not to keep hammering the same thing over and over

    But

We had Jason Castro coming up, do we really want to give up an out so we can get two guys in scoring position for Jason freaking Castro right now??

Obie got disciplined for throwing at them after they lit him up. That's different than protecting our hitters, which we haven't seen a pitcher do yet. Maybe Hinch wouldn't be so hard on someone if we are just protecting our own.

Something needs to happen though...it's getting ridiculous. Maybe they've just been saving it for the KC series for retribution.

Isn't Marwin likely to be optioned after Lowrie returns? I guess they could option Singleton or release/trade Carter.

My first response said Altuve, but you're right about Castro.

    Bad bunt

This and I hope we do something to KC.

I'm really hoping there's a big fight with no Stro getting injury.

    F*** KC

Why would they option Gonzales? He has been doing good utility work and has been very, very good in July.
