They're certainly not winning a lot of pitching duels this season... basically, when they score runs, they typically win. When they don't, they're usually losing.

Having a top 3 of Springer-Correa-Altuve (in any order) pretty much assures them of having an above average offense.

I expect more regular playing time for Conger as well (he's been amazing batting left-handed this season), and per last night's reports, they're going to "fix" the 1B situation with pretty much every potential candidate starting to take grounders there now (or the simplest solution is that Carter starts hitting).

I haven't paid premium price for parking in over 5 years, including the sellout games this year.

Park at a meter on the street (Preston/Prarie usually work)... if its after 6, its free. If its before 6, it'll be no more than $5 (which is the cheapest pay lot).

Should not be a problem on a mid-week game.

You must be at the games on-time. Usually those spots are taken by the time I get to the games

NICK!:eek::eek: That cannot be public forum information.

But yeah. As long as you are parking before 6:30, you should find free street parking.

Well, yeah.... typically if i'm spending money to attend a game, I wouldn't want to show up late.

Sorry... at least this is a minor/less popular sub-forum... and as I said before, haven't had a problem with these spots on sellouts as well.

Just like Queens has a lot of "common parts"... if theres one thing downtown Houston has... its plenty of parking.

The Texas High School Coaches Association is having their annual convention at George R Brown this week. That is an extra 13,000 who are downtown this week. It will affect parking a little more than most conferences which go on there all the time, because many school districts won't pay for their coaches to stay at the more expensive downtown hotels, so they are looking for parking also.

I've done the meter parking a lot over the years, but as someone else mentioned they do fill up and depending on what time you get there can be hard to find. I would guess it will be a little tougher this week because of THSCA

Interesting... how late does the convention go each day?

If they're not staying at downtown hotels... don't they eventually leave the downtown area?

Yes, they will eventually leave, but depending on what sessions they go to they could be leaving early afternoon, or early evening. Also, many will stay and go to some of the downtown bars for a while before going back to their hotels. I would guess many will go to the game also, being a bunch of athletic minded coaches who don't get a chance to go to MMP often, if at all.

Now that I think of it though, today is the last day so they will all be out by early afternoon, and almost all will be leaving town after they are done today, so while it probably made parking a little tougher Sunday and yesterday, shouldn't be an issue tonight

Either way, i'll be there tonight

Another option is to find street parking over on the west end of downtown, close to the new light rail on Rusk, then take the light rail which dumps you off in front of the ballpark.

Disappointed to not see Carter in there after the big game last night

Figured he would get a good week to see if he could get going
