That's sort of mitigated with all teams less than 1 week removed from a 4-5 day break. And it really only makes a difference in the bullpen... which is just one good pitching performance (or one bad offensive performance by the opposition) away from being "fully rested."
Runners were on-base, though. BOS also missed a 2-run HR with ball landing 8 feet foul. Stros can still win. VV looks sharp enough and we're only down 2 with plenty game remaining
Johnson keeps throwing that curveball so they should only look for that one pitch he doesn't have much more
Is it just me or is their always an oppossing player that does well against the Astros and always has his family at Minute Made to watch it ?
I think weve face a few first timers in the big league pitchers and have struggled against all of them, if I remember correctly.
Sure he has.... in fact, its a "better" pitch when it breaks late, out of the zone. Sure, you can just try standing there daring him to throw strikes... then you end up like Altuve did, or risk getting behind in the count.
Hm I guess. Seems like most of them have been way inside and in the dirt or up out of the zone, but the deception is certainly there I suppose.
