Man I totally thought "Bear Killer" was back for good. I was completely shocked at how that played out in the last episode. Kudos to the show for not being predictable. I love this show.
I've been watching it since day one, and it is one of my favorite shows ever. I would just love for Al Swearengen to walk into the saloon, and say c**ksuckers!, and walk out, lol.
Big risk moving to the UP, and leaving the main cast of characters, they will need to find some way to keep Durant involved, as well as Mickey etc.... The plus side is that the Swede is back, and I like the use of the Mormons angle. DD
Love the show. I never see much discussion about it but the viewer numbers must at least be decent because we're on season 4 now. I agree that going away from the UP was a risk but I already enjoy the new characters that have been introduced. Chang should be a formidable rival whenever Bohannen is not occupied with the Swede or railroad challenges. Was anyone else totally not surprised by the reveal that Fong was a girl? I kept trying to figure out where I had missed the explanation of why it was okay to have a girl working the railroad until her dad referred to her as his son. But the voice was a dead giveaway. I'll miss Common this season, but I think they had mined that character for all the interesting components already. I'll be curious if they pursue the thread of Bohannen looking for his family or if he really is giving up and they'll focus on the railroad work. Glad to have a new season. Definitely an underrated show.
