To be fair he was actually right. The Rockets didn't trade for him until that final year on his contract changed.
You have only put up 19 posts and here's your last 3 posts before this one. Do not become part of the problem here like so many are. Become part of the solution. Talk basketball in the GARM, specifically Rockets basketball. And quit all the arguing and personal attacks.
He was partially right. And he got lucky with that last part about the non-guaranteed. If you're taking a test and only get some of the answer correct , the entire answer is wrong. LOL
I didn't see anyone else suggesting the non-guaranteed final year. Quite a thing to be "lucky" about imo
This is all too much drama for a basketball forum lol. I don't recall calling you an idiot or something that harsh, if I have I apologize, I know others do. And of course, why give someone props until they have been right? If someones been wrong multiple times, their not going to seem legit. You came through with this one and now we know you have some inside info. But whatever none of this matters. Thanks for the info!
Not looking for apologies. Just a change of behavior so the forum is more productive. If posters act with class here you'll get a lot more insider info to disseminate than you have already. That's what I'd like to see. There's more insiders here than you can shake a stick at. But most of them stay on silent because of the board's lack of etiquette and rudeness towards them. Posters that choose to attack the insiders we have here now only hurt themselves and the quantity and quality of info they receive here. Makes no sense. Just do the right thing and treat everybody else with proper respect. That's all.
You're demeaning to a lot of posters in this forum. I've never said a word to you here or called you a name, so I'm not looking for a pissing match. If you want the level of discourse in the GARM, start by looking in the mirror... you're not the solution, sir. You are a problem.
The "We Will Not Trade For Lawson" experience is the greatest character study to conclude what we have figured out about Jopat as a poster/crazy fan. He does all the homework he can, digs deep into whatever information is available to him on the web, and he takes all that work he's done (which is valuable), and lets his arrogance get in the way of presenting what the facts are and letting things play out. He always has to be right, and in the know more than everyone else so he draws an end game conclusion which he's almost always wrong about. Making Lawson's contract non-guaranteed in year 2 was something that few people thought about on the board, but Jopat spent the time and energy to dig down to find every possible avenue for discussion on the matter. He could be commended for putting in that much thought and energy, but instead its about about his claim to have known something as an insider. If he would have just discussed these ideas in a humble way, he'd be up there with some of the top posters on the GARM for insights and knowledge of trades/CBA stuff. A little bit of humility goes a long way Jopat. There is still a little bit of hope you can turn it around on here.
Give it up already. You're not an insider. You're almost always wrong and I can't remember the last time you were right You post all possible scenarios (which is fine) and sometimes one may hit. No problem with you posting all those possible scenarios as your opinion but to claim it's inside information is preposterous.
You're right, I'm not an insider. 99% of the info I posted about Lawson was given to me. I did speculate one thing to my source and they confirmed I was on the right track. Everything else was told to me. Get.over.it. #UJealous
Good for you. I've sort of glazed over your posts but I'll read from now on as you deliver insight that is obviously in line with the Rox's FO. Props on the call which you've actually been on top of for 8 months as far as I can see from your post history.
You're a rational poster normally but let us all know when you call a trade to a T like bball/jo did. Humility is not necessarily warranted when you call it as you see it for as long as he has...insider status or not.
Hilarious read. Go back and read his commentary on Terrence over the last couple seasons. Talk about no humility. That's why I blocked him. Wished I didn't have to read any of his stuff when you reply either. He's as arrogant as they come. Anyways.......we need to start discussing Terrence Jones trades since he's the next man up here. I'm wondering about a Nicholson/second rounder for Terrence. Or perhaps Novak and a second rounder for him. Either a shooter at the 4, or a backup rebounder/rim protector or possibly a young PG on a minimal contract for further development. Perhaps even a Granger/Dinwiddie for Jones/second rounder deal??? You know, since Detroit did just sign my man Darrun Hilliard to a 3-year deal.
You can give him props for being consistent no matter if he's wrong or not. He was bound to get one right sooner or later. Lol
"Call a trade" Why is this so important to anyone to "Call a trade"??? Why is there some pissing match to be the top insider with all the knowledge in the world? What happened to just talking hoops like a couple dudes at a bar? Why does there have to be a fake hierarchy social class that posters like Hollic put themselves on? I would be willing to bet that Jopat has called as many trades as anyone because, like I said, he does his homework, and speculates about every possible scenario. There is nothing wrong about that. Its his personality that turns that hard work and passion into grade A bologna. The difference is he sells it like gospel, and has even suggested a pay site (that some would say would be sold as a alternative competitor to this site if it would actually be successful) in order to obtain his insider knowledge that is too good for us common folk. Humility... Let's talk about how I agree with 90% of what you say, but even when I agree with you, you refuse to turn everything I say, even complementary, into an argument where I and others are wrong even when they agree with you. What you cannot take is someone calling you out on your personal agendas, and vendettas. You enjoy your vendetta so much that you've apparently "blocked me" about 15 times, and can't stand it when I make too much sense so you have to respond. Newsflash: I DONT EVEN LIKE TERRENCE JONES as a player, but you will never, ever, ever listen to that. You will take that statement as a Jones Only Fan statement because it suites your need to argue about something. I really, really feel sorry for folks that actually have to have a personal relationship with you outside the internet if you are half as difficult as you are in the real world as you are with your digital persona.
