ty lawson is coming to the rockets to add support to the offense. lin was doing exactly that and getting paid 5mil a year for 2 seasons. with lin the complaint was "why give him the rock when harden is so much better, so much more efficient". with ty the relief is now "someone can take the load off" of harden shoulder's. ty may look better on paper per game but per 36 min the diff is negligeable. the one key to understanding the diff between lin and ty is that something changed in the rocket's narative: harden needs help, he's not superman. the corporate talking points say it's team chemistry... that is the intangible, indescribable difference between ty and lin. if we were honest i'd suggest race... ego, money... the one thing all rockets fans should trully appreciate about morey and the front office is how well they have balanced expense and fan tolerance to acheive maximum profit. the reason lin was traded with a 1st rnd pick was more about the 15 mil than getting bosh (what amateur gm would be so foolish to be caught out there like that....?). oh yea the mavericks... ha ha the two geniuses getting played... or playing us the fans?
