I like filling out the end of the bench with vets like this. Valuable in practice and the film room. No point having a bunch of nick johnsons and dorseys cheerleading. Either send them to the d-league til they are ready to contribute or ship them out.
I'm guessing you mean Miami Heat era Juwan Howard and not Houston Rockets era. I'll never forget that playoff game against the Jazz where our bench scored zero points, led by Juwan Howard and Luther Head. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200704260UTA.html
Yes I'm talking about the Juwan Howard that hardly played, but received a lot of credit for many of those Miami titles.
One of the darkest days in Rockets history, right there. The reason why I just can't rag on McGrady and Yao. How that team managed to run an offense at all is astonishing. (Ironic that Hayes was on that team.)
You really had to feel for JVG. He was working with scraps. Adelman comes in and he's gifted all kinds of talent from Daryl Morey, like Scola. JVG's best 3rd option that series was probably Luther Head who wasn't even in the league long after his stop in Houston. I also think 4/5 players in that starting lineup went under the knife that offseason.
Chuck is probably viewed as a Top 400 talent right now. And will probably sign when the other 399 are signed
He'll be a good mentor to the younger bigs. Maybe even Harden. Will he accept an assistant coaching gig? We need to cut Dorsey and sign both Williams and Harrell. There may not be room on the roster for him.

Music to my ears. Awesome. I know lots of people wanted the rookie Alan Williams but a veteran to back up Capela was much more important. Although I'm not ruling out they don't sign Williams.

Most minutes Chuck got last year was 17 minutes & that was in November. Obviously he's not in there for stats but more for the little things. He will probably get 7-10 minutes max on this team.

Because he is a good teammate, can defend, good bball IQ, works hard, has toughness, and won't complain if he gets 2mins a game or 40. Him and Terry are rounding out the last two spots and they are two great people to have when you are trying to contend for a championship.
