Lawson is an amazing get. A poor man's CP w/o his defense, but certainly a HUGE upgrade for us. As my son and I discussed earlier, the DUI's seem to be a cry for help. Dude was depressed, but now he's coming to perfect situation and will get a ton of support. Funny, how this deal was basically for no one that truly mattered to our championship run and we get a guy who could help us win back-to-backs.
Yeah it could be bad defensively. But if he does end up suspended for some games it's fine, because at least then we can see how well a healthy Bev will mesh with harden. And if we're killing it with them, then lawson would make an exceptional back up pg. Also I think you'll win clutchfans with your mmoniker, because this looks like our year to win it all!
Ty Lawson may not be good defensively but he will make the opposing point guard chase him around and have to always be aware of his scoring ability. Not more games where Paul, Curry, Westbrook, Irving, etc. have the night off on defense so they focus all their energy on offense. Making them have to work and putting pressure on them to defend is a defense in itself.

Exactly. Keeping the opposing point guard honest on defense goes a long way to affecting them on offense.

I like the trade but a little weary of Lawson having some personal issues that may affect the locker room. He was arrested for abuse against a pregnant woman, multiple DUI's 2 of them just this year, getting into fights at bars. I mean this guy seems to get arrested like once a year. I hope this doesn't affect our locker room.
So does Lawson have a drinking problem or does he have a DUI problem? People seem to confuse the two? There is a difference between just being an excessive drunk and from drinking while out on the town and thinking you can get away with driving home. One is far worse than the other. If it is a DUI problem then that can hopefully be stopped. Maybe by just hanging out with better people who won't let him do that. If it is a legit alcoholic problem then that is a lot deeper.
