I remember when a lot of Astros fans (myself included) wanted him...glad we didn't sign him to that huge deal.

Ownership and Jon Daniels the gm suck. They ran the only thing going for them (Nolan Ryan) outta town.

A game not featuring the cardinals, Cubs, Yankees or Dodgers???

The general public will be very confused.

So the Red Sox Angels have been postponed and rescheduled tomorrow as a DH. That means Boston will play 2 games tomorrow, the second one starting at 9:00 local time. Then they will travel to Houston on Tuesday to start the series with the Astros who finished today around 4:00 and have tomorrow off.

Their bullpen will be a wreck... not that its all that great when healthy/rested anyways.

Astros are due for a few more days off... they've played a few game more than most thus far.

JD doesn't suck as a GM, but he definitely helped run out Nolan. The egos couldn't work together anymore.

Whats so untrue? The ownershipship is a joke who gave total control to JD which in turn ran Nolan out of town and the franchise and farm system into the ground. I guess you give JD complete credit for building the WS teams? This Rangers team is the result of JD being left unchecked. Cool by me because this is one team we don't have to worry about in the near future.

Nolan has done his best to run himself out of a lot of places, like you said "ego".

They've been snakebit with injuries the past year-plus, especially pitching, and they've got a bunch of solid talent in the minors.

You can call it snakbit, I call it karma. He's a weasel.

Nine days off in the second half, more than any other team in the league. Will help a ton with the bullpen as well as giving McCullers and Velasquez extended time in between starts.

Ego is the same reason the Cowboys haven't won in twenty years.

Perhaps the Rangers ownership just lacks confidence?
