His assists could go down a bit now that he's sharing the ball with Harden, but his scoring probably goes up to compensate.
I hope this doesn't impact negatively towards the team chemistry Cyber posted about. Reading between the lines in articles and how James has acted in the past I hope it isn't Harden v rest of team (Mac's guys) to Harden + Lawson v rest of the team.
My guess on the five people who voted no on the deal were Dorsey, Johnson, Papa, Prigioni and Basketballholic.
Im guessing someone has already answered this but how does Lawsons contract effect our ability to offer durant or another player a max contract next year? Bimathug?
What did he say about chemistry? He's close with Harden and Brew ilI don't think anyone would be mad about this. Bev seems excited too. Scratch that I can see Dwight acting like a baby over this.
Heck yeah you make this deal.... We basically gave up a PPD & J sandwich for what has the potential to be a New York Strip cut of steak. If he turns out to be a boneheaded punk you just plant him on the bench, but if he realizes the error of his ways and plays to his potential this is a game changer for our back court...

Well let's hope Lawson can deal with his alcohol problem and any other issues. This is a roll of the dice - a very smart one to be sure, but we don't know why Lawson is seemingly heading into a character abyss but it's a real concern. Hopefully a fresh start will do him good. I mean the guy didn't even show up to his own basketball camp.
So how much did Smoove know about the pending Lawson deal and how much of a role to play in going to LAC?
Will be tough. However if Dwight opts out of his deal or takes a low wink wink deal, it is absolutely possible.
