David Paulino vs. Cedar Rapids: 7 IP, 4 H, 7 K Quad Cities leads 2-1 in the 8th. You may or may not remember, but Paulino was the PTBNL in the Jose Veras trade in 2013. He missed the entire 2014 season as he was recovering from Tommy John surgery.
Josh Hader is starting for the US in the gold medal game at the Pan Am Games in Toronto.

Josh Hader sitting 91-94 mph, touched 96. He's a wee man: 21 yo, 6'7" 215 Hader will make a hell of a late inning bullpen lefty once he focuses on a second pitch.
Alex Bregman went 3-5 with an RBI and scored 3 runs in Quad Cities' 14-5 win over Cedar Rapids today. Elieser Hernandez, who was recently promoted from Tri-City, allowed 2 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6 over 4 innings. He now has a 41:3 K:BB ratio in 28 innings between Tri-City and Quad Cities.

A little surprised they are sending him to California so quickly. Suggests to me they have a lot of confidence in him. So, on to Lancaster, just survive and advance LOL
I wonder if Bregman might get moved to Lancaster before season's end. It would be agressive, but worth considering. In 104 PAs, he has 8BB to 7K. Average is up to .283.
Lunhow just said to look out for Tyler White to get a promotion from AAA if 1B cant be resolved between Jon and Carter.
It's worth a shot, a good on-base guy would help this lineup tremendously. He has skillets for hands but hopefully he wouldn't make everyone miss Carter's defense. Hopefully.
