Nice. I was shocked when it was first reported with a player option.
Maybe CF will calm down now. People are getting way too hysterical when training camp is still months away.
Great Deal. Morrey at it again. Doubters need to be silenced. Now leaves about the room mle amount to sign Harrell. And maybe give something to someone else.
Like his potential, but can he now be included in a trade for Ty Lawson along with say Papa and others without Jones? Could this be the plan? Otherwise we still need a pg.
3M per year lol if he was proven he'd get way more than that. I like the deal I am ridiculously high on KJ, I think he's better than a lot of guys taken in the first round this year.
Nope. Not until next trade deadline or so. He's here to stay for a while. Hopefully he can make with his progress other expendable in the near future who can be flipped at a latter time. (i.e Brewer). I'm very happy with this contract. Morrey is a genious. Also I owe someone a sig bet.
I like the deal. Very fair. It is another 3 year deal. Now we have Ariza, Brewer, Beverley (non-Guaranteed on 4th year) and KJ on 3 year deals on mid-sized contracts. Morey is definitely aiming for something in 3 years. The only thing I can see is that he is trying to create room to resign James Harden and maybe go after DeMarcus Cousins since Morey has had a huge love for him.
I just wonder where is KJ going to get any minutes. The Warriors proved that having a boatload of versatile guys in that 6'5 to 6'10 range is important but where will KJ get time to play with the big league? Harden / Thornton / KJ Ariza / Brewer / Dekker Well our D-League team might win the championship this year lolol Johnson KJ Dekker Harrel Williams
I'm interested in seeing his development. Maybe we can lock him in the gym shooting corner threes, It worked with Smoove. This dude has crazy potential, the only thing he's missing is a consistent jumper. But I've noticed he was a very confident shooter with the Sixers. Maybe he'll be more comfortable out there learning under Ariza for a second season.
Fair deal, and little financial pressure to play him big minutes this year. Good player to groom for another year and have two solid value years after this one assuming Ariza, and Brewer stay healthy.
