Although I do not know who McJ is, we will not be ranked as high as the second seed as long as we have a true point guard who can play 36 minutes or longer. Prigioni is an excellent PG, but he is pushing 40. Terry is a great shooter, but he is more of a SG who also is pushing 40. That leaves us with Beverley, who is a pesky defender but is not a true point guard. I can't foresee the PG whom Morey will acquire, if any, but DM better exceed his infamous grasp.
Everyone's being a super homer. We lost Jsmoove, we downgraded while the other top teams have upgraded. I don't think we are 2nd seed material, I'm not even sure we get HC advantage. Spurs Warriors Thunder Clips Rox Griz All the other teams (except maybe the pels - if Davis takes another leap) are filler teams. Let me reiterate, I am a rox fan! I just don't like this false hope and high expectations being bandied around
Isnt this what people said last year before the season started? First of all the Rox lost Jsmoove but theyrr adding DMo and Beverly, two guys who werent there last year not to mention further development from the young guys like Capela and Jones as well as the rookz we just got. Honestly the Rox may or not be better tha last year but I dont think you should automatically put the Rox all the way down to the 5th seed from 2nd. I mean the Clipps just retained the same guys as last year when the Rox whupped their ass how are they better? Just because of Paul Pierce? Lol
Adding D-mo, Bev and an older Capela is a net improvement from the team that made the conf finals last year even with Smiths departure. That's not to mention what Dekker, Harrell or Johnson might be able to add. We are better right now than we were last year, but unless we address the PG situation we still aren't good enough to win it all. At this moment... 1.Spurs 2.Warriors 3.Rockets 4.Clippers (scoreboard b**ches) 5.Thunder (Kanter makes them worse, not better) 6.Grizzlies everybody else
Spurs, Warriors, Rockets, Thunder. Jump to number 2 if we can get Lawson without losing any key pieces. If Dmo and/or Jones take another big step, challenge the Spurs.
Currently yes. There are still a lot of moving parts before October. If this were preseason and we still don't have a pg, I'll join in the worrying.
I'll be worried if we're 5 or less in February but I'm OK with the team as it is constructed right now
Read an article on BR saying how the only championship contenders in the West are GS, SA, OKC and LAC. Very frustrated how we lose one piece after making the WCF and we are back to being a first round exit.
Most reporters and "experts" had the Rockets as a number seven or eight seed last year before the season started. WCF team: -Josh Smith ++Beverley and Motiejunas
Spurs on paper the best with the rockets, GS , grizzly...2 ~ 4.....with a PG like Ty or Ricky we can be #1.
and it took he pelicans to beat the spurs to keep houston out of 6th seed and possible first round exit
