    Phew

Back to our winning ways. McHugh has been pretty good over the last month or so, even with all the singles he had another good outing. Got enough runs to finally scratch out a win.

Lot of slumps right now, the guys will pull out of it. Just get whatever wins we can until that happens.

Awesome win by the Astros. Phew, I was hungry for baseball after those few days off and this definitely was very satisfying. This team is bound to break out offensively eventually. Feels like the tide is turning.

He's 20. There will be plenty of peaks and valleys.

His confidence is low right now. When he came up he seemed alot more relaxed and cocky.

Are the people on MLB TV always this damn annoying? A bunch of obnoxious loudmouths.

teams are making adjustments, and so will he. He's a rookie and 20 years old. He'll be fine. He is still confident.

So, you've spoken with him to determine his confidence is low?

No the booting of routine ground balls is what has determined that. I know he's young and will snap out of it. Just stating the current facts, no need to get up in arms.

Do you consider the game ending play a 'routine' grounder? That was a big time play, plus he got a clutch hit to drive in the eventual game winning run. I wish all the players lacked confidence like that.

Just stating the facts. No need to over react.

Ground ball right at you? Yeah pretty routine and a bad throw that luckily was dug out. I'm not hating on the guy, just send him down when Lowrie gets back is all. :)

We can apparently judge players' mental state from our couches, maybe if we just all focus our brainwaves we can make these guys more confident, clutch, scrappy, or whatever it takes.

Not sure what play you saw, but that was a rocket off the bat. Far from routine. Many ML shortstops don't make that play.

Totally not the right thread, but Mike Trout is very good at the baseball.
