While this is true. Do you think our 25 year old superstar will go in to this season happy that his request has not been met? In fact one could interpret Harden's request for "get me help at guard" as more of a "Get me someone who can help make plays". I don't consider Josh someone who would take us to the promise land, but he could make plays. So as far as our superstars request, we have gone further from meeting it as opposed to closer. THAT SAID. It is 7/17. Still a LOT of time to make that lemonade.

I'm not freaking out. And I don't think there was much Morey could have done, besides keep Smith that would have made this teams summer look better. Having said that, we are not top 4 in the West. I would say Golden State, Spurs and Clippers are definitely better. Yes the Clippers we beat. Let's be honest. It took a crazy 4th quarter collapse. They've strengthened their bench like crazy. Even with a healthy dmo and Bev we're not better than them right now. I would also put OKC ahead of us, if healthy. Big IF I know. And then there is Memphis to debate as well. Basically it's not that we got worse, but rathert our competition got better, which still means we took a step backwards from title contention. But who knows, there is still time for a trade. And maybe we will improve from within.
This isn't last summer There is def no need to over react, but this is not the same situation as last summer. Lat summer some people thought losing Parsons, Lin, and Asik made the rockets barely playoff contenders. People should have known the addition of Ariza alone was gonna make the team much better defenders, which was needed. Hopefully they have something in the works, because as of right now the rockets have not gotten any worse, but other teams have made moves to improve. The west is going to be even more tough. I can not think of too many teams that won't have a chance to make the playoffs. Damn, I liked Smith......
