With all of the ridiculous hot takes flying around lately, I just assumed you were off your meds like so many others. Top ten on his team? I think he can manage that.

Lawson obviously is not an elite offensive player. That's Harden, Curry, Westbrook, Paul, Lebron. Lawson is neither a high volume scorer nor an especially efficient one. He's a good offensive player, but don't oversell him.

Hey, why are you still in this thread? It's a Lawson thread and Jones is not in its title.

Jones is frustrating but his flashes on the court show trade potential that can't be realized right now. It's better to keep him and hope he stays healthy/develops than sell him off for scraps.

If the Rockets could acquire Lawson without taking from the existing rotation of bigs, that would be best.

You know, Terrence, for all his faults, is nowhere near as bad as you suggest.

And Rubio, for all his faults (and he does have them), might just not be as good as you suggest.

Not that either one played much last season.

They only have Jones for one more season before getting nothing at all for him. It's more difficult now that Smith isn't returning, but if you can get something positive for Jones, you do it.

He has some incredible flashes but I think he is more potential. If he had the motor of someone like Artest, Z-Bo or Draymond Green he could be great. He disappears in so many games.

I thought it'd be ok since you posted about Jones in the Josh Smith thread.

Or perhaps he IS the homeless person. We at least know he doesn't have a job to posting this much.

LMFBO. Either _asketballhollic or BobbytheFluke could have been a relative of the homeless guy in seeing how much they hate Jones LOL. Ignore them and the hate.

Hey Moley...we need a PG...Get Ty Lawson or Ricky Rubio.

We have pieces that can be used to trade for these guys...TJ, Jet, even Nick Johnson.

Have you talked to Ty Lawson since his recent arrest on suspicion of DUI?

Yeah. I’ve reached out, but there hasn’t been a lot of contact. He has a lot going on right now. We’re gonna see how this whole process shakes out.

Do you expect him to play at the start of the season?

Of course. If that changes, you go from there. But as of now, Ty Lawson is part of the Denver Nugget family.

I assume you plan to play Ty and Mudiay together a bunch, if Ty is still on the team?

Look at the game now, and look at the Finals. It’s no longer, “You’re a point guard, you’re a 2-guard.” You put your best players out there. Ty and Emmanuel can get wherever they want off the dribble, and Emmanuel is big enough to guard 2-guards on defense.

Could Mudiay start? You talk about him like he’s already a starter.

He could. We’ll see what happens come training camp. But when you have a 6-5 point guard who makes everyone around him better, you’re gonna have a hard time keeping him off the floor.

I cannot see a situation where adding Ty Lawson to the Rockets does not make an immediate and strong improvement to the Rockets on the court. Harden and Lawson would be one of the top 2-3 backcourts in the NBA. That doesn't even count Beverley coming off the bench.

There are serious issues but you also are not trading value for his talent level.

IF it worked out..... Lawson/Harden/Brewer on the break could be devastating.

Prob not unless we can acquire another contributor/rotation guy at PF this season. Just DMo and rookies is gonna be terrible at PF next year.

Ranked 156 before last season in NBARank, we'll see where he ends up this season. Probably top 175.

Morey needs to pounce. Lawson's value has never been lower but Morey can't expect him to get him for peanuts. Get it done!
