MLE to Smith? That's stupid. Sorry but Smith doesn't make or break this squad. We were fine without him before but losing Dmo let him shine.

Dmo is better than Smith RIGHT NOW.

[Aldridge] I'm told Josh Smith was swayed by "defined role" offered by LAC/Rivers. (twitter.com)

Giving him the MLE locks us up financially. Unless you're ready to go all in with this current roster, it was a bad idea.

And Llull has nothing to do with this, that's over with, been over with.

Maybe the so-called rift and chemistry issues got to him. Room for Alan Williams and Harrell

I'd be sadder if his FT% was absolute dog****. Thanks for the good run tho.

This is your time to shine Joshie. Don't **** it up the third time.

Is it too much to hold out hope that this is all just a magnificent troll to do the Clips dirty how DJ did to dallas? I know......but man its fun to even just dream of that.

Thanks, I hadn't heard that. But I haven't really kept up with all this as well as some of you. I guess Josh just really liked the Clippers. I'm not mad at the guy. He's free to work where he wants to.

Makes sense. The dude rehabbed his rep with the Rox. A bigger role fitting his desires is the next step in his comeback.

This however is hogwash...Rivers knows this...

Remember, Rivers promised DeAndre more touches in the paint. Blake also needs the ball. So does Paul...This team will implode. And as others have point out, Smith played very well for us...but it was because the system allowed him too...He was able to run fast breaks/etc. He will lose that opportunity next year, and will return to his Detroit moments. All that being said, thanks Josh for playing your heart out here...

Can't blame him. His fit he was reliant on him being the second PF off the bench. With Dmo back that's over.

DMo hasn't even hit his ceiling I don't think, and as long as he can stay healthy, he's the PF of this team.

Losing Smith does suck due to his ability to makes plays for others, but he isn't worth the money and WE ALL know Morey rarely overspends unless that player is ABSOLUTELY worth it.

We better hope Dmo even comes back like his old self. Back injuries are no joke
