Seriously though its the same thing every year. Morey ****ed up the Summer signing period. Morey got lucky he got Harden, Morey got lucky he got Josh, Morey was just lucky something happened.

I think Morey deserves our trust. Lets see how this all shakes out in the end.

The problem is we didn't add anybody to get better while LAC & SAS did.

No one's jumping cliffs over the loss of Smith alone, there just doesn't seem to be any foreseeable solution until after the season starts (I don't actually know that, just how it must seem now), no one knows how healthy DMo is, no PG besides Bev, etc.

Say what you want about Josh, but that's a cheap ****ing contract and he's worth more than that, and he can match up better with a lot of the power forwards in the league than the guys we have now...and worst of all he's on a conference rival, playing behind Blake ****ing Griffin. Damn.

We watch how other contending teams get better while we remain stagnant...Smith and Brewer made this past season relevant. You may think Morey was the guy who got these guys to come here which is the contrary. Smith and Howard are childhood friends......nuff said and Brewer is Mchales boy!Morey had little to do with those two wanting to be here other than producing the contract they signed.Smith is what we WISH JINES WOULD BE.
The 2nd playmaker on the team at an unorthodox position is gone...smh.

I dont think this team currently constructed will be contenders and I hate adding players at the deadlines.

Exactly. Josh Smith is an excellent passer and a good ball handler for a forward. Look at his career assists numbers. 3-4 assists per game. Very underrated player. He created opportunities for his teammates, especially Dwight

It's not the end of the world, but it's a step backward. While the Clippers took another step forward and just passed us in terms of depth.

I'm not panicking, but I'm not gonna try to spin this favorably either. Every other contender in the West got better or at least maintained their roster from last season. We're the only ones who are currently worse. And we're really bad at PG right now and weaker at the 4.

Worst of all, there's the off-court factor to consider as well. Remember, Dwight can opt out next summer. Think he's happy the Rockets just let his best friend walk? And how about Harden who asked Morey to get him another playmaker? He just lost our 2nd best player in that capacity to the Clippers and hasn't even resigned Terry yet.

I find it very strange he would sign for less money. i figure if he left it was because of money wise. I thought his time here was great and had a clear defined role from the bench. Am i missing something here? wtf

Did you watch any of the games last year? Our bench sucked (both in the playoffs and reg. season) w/out Brewer and Josh Smith. Even when Smith was chucking he made up for it with great defense and passing and energy. TJOnes is not at Josh's level. JSmoove defended Blake and Dirk about as well as any PF could. TJones is not that good a defender in the second unit.

Looks like the team wouldn't define his role here, likely because Morey is still trying to trade for someone...so he left for a defined role in LA

So he goes to a team that will pay him less, probably have to give him less minutes and minus his buddy Dwight. The more I think about it the more pissed off I am...with him.

He was definitely a key cog on the team...at times. But I'll be fine with it if we trade his value for someone that is a bit more consistent. And that might come in the few weeks or months or at the trade deadline.

he could have gone to GS and already gotten a ring, i wouldn't be surprised if he already has doubts about this franchise. the guy already has a lot of miles on his body and let's face it, this team is no where near going all in at this point

I agree that they have made a good effort in terms of shoring up their bench, but there are way too many risky signings for me to definitely say that they got "much better."

Just like last year when pretty body slipped on his skinny jeans and went hang out with Cuban.

We'll be fine, at least hack a Smith is over.

DeAndre and Blake both average 36 mpg. So unless they play him at SF, he'll be getting a max of 24 mpg. He played 25 mpg for us last season.
