Lance Stephenson had one of the worst shooting seasons ever last year, not to mention his other issues
JSmoove is a crap shoot more often than not
    Re-signing DJ shouldn't count, lol

    Wtf...

This off season is now a failure tom me. We just lost a key role player, leaving us stuck with a back surgery Motie and Jones, who are both expiring next off season and will ask for lots of $$$. Our defense just took a hit too, Smith was still a good defender who helped guard Dirk and Griffin. Howard just lost his best friend, who we could of payed more then the Clippers with just the 2.5 mill exception. On top of that, the Clippers get stronger, front court depth was their only flaw and they just fixed it.

This ****ing sucks, Morey, please be up to something big, this makes no sense.

Wow. Morey really must've p-ssed off Josh. He took 60% of what the Rockets could(and I sincerely hope did) offer. And that's before you factor in state income taxes for 41 of those games.

Yea this is really telling, TJ is now really important to the team. Trading him would leave a massive hole at PF depth, people forget DMo is coming off back SURGERY.. look how long it took Dwight to come back from the surgery, and he wasn't right for quite some time.

I don't get what Morey is doing either. I was concerned when Lowry left, I was concerned when Dragic left, I was concerned when Omer and Parsons left, I'm concerned now that Josh is gone.

Each time Morey has come through for the Rockets when it seemed like the sky was falling.

I'm sorry, but this is an awful move. Unless there's some master plan at work, I feel like we should've aggressively pursued a new deal with Smoove. He brings versatility and to mention Lob City with Dwight!!

Starts with things like this...If you think that the stars on your team start losing faith with mgmt, things quickly spiral out of control from that point...And then you have people that demand trades...

Its hard for Harden, and Howard not to see that this team has taken a step back from the contending pack.

I can see why he went there.

It's LA. Every player loves living there. The Clippers are talented and deep. Doc is a coach all players want to play for. The money is basically a wash for what he could get here. He probably thought they had a better roster than Houston in comparison. I mean, they took us to 7 games and they didn't have Pierce, Stephenson, and now Smoove on their bench.

I think you're missing the part where a team has to WANT you first.

    What an idiot Morey is.

This was simply because Morey didn't want to pay him.

Rockets were down 1-3 to the Clippers with Terrence Jones starting at PF and were about to lose the series.

McHale inserts Josh Smith as the team's starting PF for Game 5 and the Rockets win 3 straight to take the series 4-3.

The key was the ball handling and unselfish passing of Smith. He created spacing and better opportunities for his teammates. Unlike Jones who did not.
