He is undeniably a weak willed player, aka a mental midget. He references it himself repeatedly. I could dig up more quotes but basically this shows what Lin thinks of his own confidence: Spoiler He speaks of everything as an obstacle. How often do you hear other players constantly referencing impediments to success? You either have the strength to overcome these obstacles or you incessantly blow the obstacles out of proportion. Quit talking about what is holding you back and just perform. To be generous to Lin, he has certain athletic tools that would make him a decent PG if he was not so insecure. If you watch his abysmal playoff performances and turnovers throughout his career, it's always dumb shots and turnovers from him attacking the paint and getting confused/scared on what to do next, generally resulting in a jump into the air and pass to the other team.

Right now, the flavor of the month is Lin's measly contract. Lots of circle jerking, and "I told you he was a scrub" So much negativity in this thread hahaha. I have only seen ONE LOF in this thread (Danang) (colt45nyc has joined in the excessive Pro-Lin defense) NO other open LOF's in here. No other obvious "Lin crazies" Most of the single-post positive & neutral comments have actually come from VET posters with join dates WELL before Lin was in Houston. 36 pages of LOF speculation - for ONE LOF At that rate it means at 100 pages there MIGHT be 3 LOF's. Kind of a waste if you ask me.

Actually to all my friend, I"m very critical in Lin and wanting him to be more tougher on the court. I know he's a christian, but be the Asian assassin and take over games. I just get a laugb on how these treads about him still gets so much heated exchanges and why some rockets fan are so hating on Lin and his fans. There's a clear divide between admitting why you're floundering, and admitting that you completely suck and should find a new line of work. I think Lin is admitting the former, and not the latter. Just because you have detractors doesn't mean that you should believe them. I think he's saying he's frustrated, not because he doesn't think he can play basketball well, but because every negative thing started to snowball. Asian dude under the spotlight in one of the biggest cities in the world, playing for one of the most heralded sports franchises in the world? That's tough.
