I wish they take it more serious next year, now that they have made the 3rd round of the playoffs

This is a good omen fellas. The JV usually runs through summer league, hoist the trophy, then the Varsity flames out in the playoffs. Last year, JV loses in the finals of the summer league. Varsity makes western conference finals.

This year, JV flames out... You know what this means, right? Varsity going to the NBA finals y'all!

It's sound logic. Really, it is.

    you can't tell now.

capela looked 100x during the start of the regular season.

harrel with the ball in the post has been a slight surprise

I just bought the summer league thing for 5 bucks.

For anyone that hasn't been able to watch, Harrell does his work early on both ends of the floor. Meaning, he fights for position as soon as possible, on every possession. He has instincts rebounding and playing defense that are unnaturally good. He also has incredibly quick hands. Sometimes it looks like he gets beat, but the offensive player puts the ball where he can get to it. I couldn't even see his hands move they're so fast. If you get Ariza and Brewer in his ear about tricks of the stealing trade and he'll wreak havoc on opposing offenses.

As of now, I think Harrell will be more of an impact on the team than Dekker. If he knows all the offensive and defensive sets well by the time the season starts, I don't think he goes to the D-League. He appears ready to make some noise.

Nothing meaningless about those games. We learned a lot from watching them.
How many of us had ever heard of Alan Williams?
We saw that Christian Wood, although talented, was lazy and out of shape.
We re-discovered Glen Rice Jr. and we may have stumbled upon a decent PG prospect in Will Cummings.
Finally, we learned that we could have easily went undefeated had all of our guys played.

The truth is you don't know anything. Much less being able to evaluate talent by watching (if even that) 4 SL games.

So are the rockets done playing in the summer league or will they be participating in the consolation games on Friday?

This. The coaching staff won't be able to ignore his hustle and work ethic.
I think Mchale will fall in love with Harrell's game pretty quick.

From what ive seen in SL, Harrell's rebounding has been very overated. He seems to not have any kind of nose for the ball, he is oblivious on rebounding and defensive positioning, people keep calling him a high energy and motor player, but his energy seems to only come in flashes and few and far between. Hes also a terrible FT shooter.

He has a couple of flashy athletic plays, he overpowers weak post defenders in the paint, and the few rebounds he did get fell into his hands for the most part. Im not impressed with Harrells performance, his flaws are worrisome to me.

But with that being said, like another post pointed out, Capela looked like one of the worst players id ever seen before the end of the season. The dude literally could not make even one basket for like a month, 0 for 15 from the FT line it seemed and totally abused and lost on D. So you definitely cant right Harrell of yet, give him a season or 2 before labeling him bust.
