Hard to gauge from the trailer where this is all going...but I guess that's the idea. Might actually be interesting? I don't know...I don't want to offend anyone.
I don't see why this needs to be in D&D, it's a "movie" trailer like all the others. Certainly the conversation could lead into a D&D thread, but I don't think just because the subject matter shown is controversial that it should automatically go in the D&D. With that said I'll save my opinion on this until I see it. For the record I'm half black half white, and I think everyone is racist.

What was the casting call like for this show? "Do you hate yourself for being white?" "Are you overly sentimental to events hundreds of years ago?" Where do you find these kinds of people?
MTV is producing a new big budget high concept series based on the The Sword of Shannara books. Ten actors, nine of them White, one minority. Maybe they should look in the mirror.
They're still getting ad dollars for teen and twentysomething demos 24-7, a lot of the fogies complaining about the lack of music videos don't realize that's the only reason they were ever created. MTV lost their hip appeal in between their fifteenth Road Rules/Real World Challenge and having Viacom cram WWE down their throat in the early '00s.
