    First flat-screen I ever purchased was online from new egg. Checked the item out in person at best buy. Bought it for a few hundred less and no taxes online saving a hundred more.

    Some Westinghouse model for about $1200 from around 2006...that still works to this day.

    So, Amazon was being a little overzealous calling it a Black Friday in July, but there are decent sales from the preview. Might even pick up a fire TV stick and load Kodi/XBMC onto that thing.

    Damn, no love on Apple products either.

    I've had to pass on two music projects in the past few weeks due to being without a laptop. They weren't for much money, but I'm in in no position to be turning down work. I was holding out for this Amazon Prime sale and Apple's back to school sale but both have been disappoint so far.

    I have a chromecast, I know amazon says the fire stick is better, but is it? and why?

    For starters the stick can act as a media center on its own. With Chromecast you need a phone or computer to act as a remote and stream to the Chromecast.

    I wish there was a list of Wal-Mart prices in competition, only saw a vague ad about a Toshiba laptop for like $200 off

    Ive used both, i currently have 3 chromecasts. I have a phone or tablet around me all the time, I would rather not have another remote to keep up with. Havent been able to get the fire stick to work with Logitech harmony yet.

    Chromecast seems to work a little better, but the fire stick is solid.

    I run Plex on my server and stream from there.

    Meh, so far I'm not impressed with their "prime" selections.

    Others are now saying Walmart's deals today are far better.

    Maybe the deals will get better as the day goes along.

    Lord of the Rings trilogy on blu ray for $27.99 isn't too bad. I just picked one up haha I've never seen any of them.
