Possible buyout candidates that Rockets could use MLE on later

    His trade market is probably very thin, and Denver might want to save a little $$. They wouldn't do it for cap purposes.

    Another idea is Ty Lawson. I'm not saying it's likely, but he's doing just about everything he possibly can to get released. He does have some value, but how much longer with the Nuggets put up with his shenanigans? He wants out, they probably want him out, and his suitors are limited.

    why ? They just said a few weeks ago they want to build around Gallo and he's only 26. If they trade him it will be for an asset back and they have plenty of capspace.
    There is no reason to buyout Gallo. Why would you BUYOUT an expiring contract that is very productive on the court and is young?

    I agree on Ty Lawson tho. After today's new DUI.

    Because Gallo has chronic back issues, malakas. They're not building around him. They're building around Mudiay at this point.

    he's only 26 and he is expiring. And they also tanking. So there is no reason to buy him out if they can't trade him or retain him. Just keep him around and perhaps talk with him and sign him to a small contract next year.
    And I don't believe he will be injured all his carreer. He is still young to turn it around.

    There probably is not a reason to buy him out today. However if they get to the trade deadline (and they haven't traded him already, which is a possibility, they may actually trade the guy they are "planning" to build around), then it could come down to Gallo wanting to get out of town because he's decided to move on next season to another team anyways. So, he might ask out to join a contender.

    That's why I put him on the list of buyout possibilities I actually think the odds are higher that he is traded. But I can see the POSSIBILITY that he's not traded and they wind up buying him out at some point later in the season.

    well then I gues they will trade him for peanuts instead of buying him out if he really FORCES his way out. But I don't think he will anyway. Malone is a nice coach and he will have control of the lockeroom and put them all to work. I think brighter days are ahead in Denver even if they dont do well in the standings the chemistry will be much better. (and Lawson the cancer will be gone).


    Maybe the Wizards will buy out Nene ?

    Buyout. Or sending a pick to philly. I think they have some low firsts.
    How many years had MacGee on his contract before they salary dumbed him?
    Oh that will be sweet if he ended up in Philly.

    ofc not. I already said he should be added to the list. One incident and his value can still be salvaged but not repeated incident in such a small span like this.
    no team will invest 12 mil for two years in him atm. Not without compesation.
    Esp not a team like the Rockets.

    Still think this is something to watch....not for the MLE obviously, but with vet min contracts.
