As long as we're still working towards adding another pg and JT is 3rd string... fine...

Now get JSmith resigned and trade TJ and debris for a solid bu pg.... then we will be in reasonable shape... :)

If Morey attaches assets just to get rid if Dorsey, he deserves to get flamed. It's only a million which is less than the vet minimum. Les has shown a willingness to eat salaries like that versus venturing into tax territory.

I just do not see this as a good signing. To old to slow and Mchale will play him no matter how bad he is playing. Rockets need some fresher legs at the pg position.

You seriously think Philadelphia will acquire Dorsey to "mentor their bigs?" Gratis?

dorsey was either a panic signing by morey to shore up the front line after the bosh debacle OR he was a favor signing for someone.

LoL, Morey doesn't panic. Morey only had one favor to give and he gave that to Parsons. Fresh outta favors.

I expect nothing less than another All Defensive year but hopefully this time he becomes more of a Scorer & Playmaker (don't have to defer as much) to make the Rockets even better as a unit and as a player(He has excelled in that role before outside the NBA and he can do it again). If he plays on Offense as well as his D, he would be a sure shot All-Star. The JET also played thru injuries via reg season & playoffs and helped them compete to get to the Western Conference Finals and battle several games vs the Champs.

Probably one of the players I hated the most in the league when he was a Mav. as a Rocket I absolutely love him.

I hope he stays for sure!

I hope he doesn't get any PG minutes. He'll be good for a couple three point shots a game if he gets playing time.

This is a nice warm sentiment but if Terry is doing more than player coaching we're in trouble. Terry shouldn't be playing heavy minutes this year or this team isn't winning much. We still need another pg

No one wanted to join the Rockets barring Ariza. K-Pap came with some difficulty. Dorsey got a 2 year contract because of that.

He's perfect as 3rd string PG and SG. His experience can be useful.

Our bench is rounding out nicely. Just itching to re-sign Josh and as a bonus would be great to get KJ. Waive Dorsey and sign a better backup C to compete with Capela for minutes. Then we are at least as good as last season and can patiently wait to make a PG upgrade before the deadline.

Brah. When everyone was taking cover from the sky after Parsons bolted, Lin and Omer were unloaded, and Bosh said no, Morey said the team was still better than before. They all laughed at him for saying something so absurd. Morey doesn't do panic signings..

Even when the Rockets lost Dragic and were on the precipice of awful, he didn't panic.

The team needs a PG, Clutchfans is panicking and bumping old Fire Morey threads.

    Deckard,

    They are stockpiling lottery picks.

Dorsey would make a most excellent mentor.

Ok then why was he signed then? Morey trying to make it rain with always wanting to pay 10c for an 80c transaction. Call it what you want. It was weird the bottom of the barrels no risk veteran minimums of Dorsey. Adrien. and ish smith were signed within days of each other. trying to throw a line in an empty pond hoping to score a keeper. I remember those days well.
