Now you see why i prefer him to hit third instead of first????? He is more capable of driving runs than getting on base
if kemp is a holy phenom that can easily get to three all stars, and has an arm graced by god, then he should have no issues fielding another position. we'll have altuve at 5'5 and kemp the first baseman at 5'7.
Yessssssss, i want Kemp and trade Altuve. Guys, Altuve is an All Star, but a guy that is not going to give you .800 OPS, so you can get a loooooot for him, and we have in the minors a guy that can be a better leadoff hitter, maybe not a better player, but a better leadoff hitter. Right now, WE DONT HAVE A LEADOFF HITTER ON THIS BALLCLUB, that is a reality. I want a guy that has a .380 OBP leading off. Example, Springer had a .365 OBP eventough he was only hitting in the .260's. But, Springer has a lot of power and you want him hitting from 2 to 5 in your lineup. So, if you get a gooood deal for Altuve, why not???? When you have a prototype leadoff hitter at triple a??????
It is ironic that he would hit a home run after I post this. Like I said earlier, I love Altuve. He's been the best player on the team for the past few years before this season. I don't feel he is as untouchable as many think though. Was good to see him get a big hit there though.
Yea, heck yea AND we just drafted a SS 2nd overall so let's trade Correa, he is a young stud and we could get a LOT for him..a LOT...so let's move him while we are at it, let's move Keuchel, 30 straight starts with at least 6 innings, that is as consistent as any pitcher in baseball...BUT, we have Feliz in the minors and we drafted more pitchers, and we could get a LOT for Keuchel so let's trade him and get a LOT and Phillips looks like a stud so let's trade Springer. Yes he is a star, but that means we could get a LOT for him, so le'ts move him and play Phillips right now cause he is really good in minors so he would be a better player right NOW amirite *** Apologize to the rest of the board for responding to this but I couldn't resist. Sorry
Is it just me, or have we hit an inordinate number of warning track fly balls in the last week? Seems like a lot of guys just missing.
Dude, Correa sooner or later could end up at 3b and second, Kemp is doing this for a looong time now with the Astros in the minors. His OPB in the minors is .400, Altuve's? .386, and that was with a .327 average. Now, the question with Altuve is, will he hit .330 or .290???????? That is the question. After that question then is how good is Kemp???? If Kemp a guy able to be your leadoff hitter? If yes, then should we trade Altuve??? We should GET A LOT for him. All depends on those questions.
And please, Mr. Beard, BE THIS THE LAST TIME you compare Correa with Altuve, PLEASEEEEEEE. Correa is once in a lifetime player, you compare guys like that with Pederson, Bryant, ect
