I'll say it again- the Rockets should offer a highly-protected 1st for Embiid, then stash him away for 2 seasons. It's not like they use the picks on any value if they get a scrub like Dekker.

Why would Hinkie agree to this? A protected 1st from the Rockets isn't valuable to Philly in any way, they'd rather suck for additional time and stay in the lottery.

A first-round pick is a solid asset and I think Hinkie would be very tempted, esp since he ended up with Okafor.

You're not getting an Okafor with a "highly protected 1st."

Cletus, try to keep up. It's about getting an Embiid and waiting 2 years for him.

embiid won't get traded. They will ride with him and see what happens. The reward is too high.

This. Sixers have enough future 1st picks as it is, no way they throw away the best C prospect in years for another mid-round pick. Embiid is at his lowest value right now, while his upside is still All-NBA. You just don't sell that kind of prospect to get your 7th future 1st.

Hinkie may agree, but the only way to find out is to make the offer. Morey is aggressive and I would not be shocked if he's thought about this.

Cletus, you still don't get it. Hinkie will not agree to a "highly protected 1st" that will probably not help them when they can wait around 2 years for him too.

    WOW

The directly opposes what Hinkie and everything come out since now have said!
    This is horrible news!!!

BTW it seems that Embiid doesn't want to have a surgery again and he was not happy at all and Hinkie and the team had to convince/force him.

Horrible news if he rebroke it and it wasn't just a delay healing.

Messed up, this is even worse than Oden. Can't even remember a lottery pick that never played a single game because of injuries (Len Bias doesn't count) .

This is awful and could end up being career ending. What a nightmare for the kid.
