Watched it live, was a great performance. He's a real Bayern fan actually, has visited the team before (picture below is from 2013).

Douglas Costa with his first assist after 8 minutes playing for Bayern. Niice.

Where are you getting this news? Local Liverpool papers and Sky Sports are reporting that they're still in negotiations. No numbers are mentioned.

Anyway, I hope he becomes a cancer there and the fans turn on him quickly. That child needs a rude awakening that the universe doesn't revolve around him. He needs to prove that he deserves the attention.

I hate the 3-man defense, it takes away our biggest strength (Alaba-Ribery and Lahm-Robben combinations) .

Seeing Alonso slowly stumble across the pitch makes me so angry. Just like Thiago's showboating. Would love Thiago on the team with a coach that tells him to know his role instead of a coach with a conflict of interest.

True, don't know how Xabi could play so great after joining Bayern and then turn into complete trash after the first half of the season.

Thiago seems to be in great shape, but his showboating is killing us in crucial moments (terrible, unforced turnovers etc that lead to goals)., the guy really needs to learn to play it safe.

£44m + £5m add ons is what I'm hearing. Should be similar figures to what Yung-T posted. BBC says £49m outright. Either way, not bad for a player who's thrown this tantrum for the good part of the last 7 months. £1m short of Liverpool's original valuation.

Sky and BBC are now saying € 68mil . Hope Liverpool spends this money well, massive overpay by City.

They were desperate for a English player I think, much needed to keep a somewhat English identity and to not mess up with the fans.

There we go. That's some good money they got for Sterling. Based on historical examples, Liverpool is probably not going to spend this money well. We shall see though.

Man City is trying to meet the homegrown players quota for this season after dumping 4 earlier last month. I think Joe Hart is their only Englishman in the first XI. Fans, what fans? :p

Wait what currency is the 68 mil in?

    I'm getting £49 mil.
    So I'm assuming $68 mil?

Wenger, being as frugal as he is, has to be laughing his ass off on this one.

He should sell Jack Wilshere, another overrated English player, and spend the haul on an actual striker.

Sterling went from "overrated" to "massively overpaid and overrated".

PS. He runs like my 6 year old girl.

Liverpool going to go ahead and buy a bunch of mediocre talent just like they did when Suarez left

    Liverpool loves quantity over quality

Sterling nothing more than an English bone. Couldn't even land Fabian Delph. City is where young English talent goes to die.
