Did you forget the comeback against the Clippers? Mchale sat Harden, when the best player is willing to sit the fourth when required to win, if it becomes a problem sit Lawson.

What we are also forgetting is Dmo would be the starting 4, improved drastically at rim protection, Capela on the way up protecting the rim.

So we do have the flexibility, bring Lawson off early for Beverly, bring him back in for Harden and have Brewer and Ariza at the 2 and 3.

What we saw last season was a culture develop, I remember Dwight sitting the forth and just being overjoyed at how well Dmo was playing. Harden sitting in the previous example.

Also the fact we have another ball handler/scorer/creator it takes further offensive responsibility away from Harden, time where he can play off the ball and as a result be able to put even more effort on defense, improving again on last season.

Valid argument, but I don't think they would be as big of a problem.

Ummmmmmmm, nope. You, Morey, McHale, mercy road, and myself. That's enough for our own starting 5.

Bingo. If we wanted him, he'd already be here. Denver would be satisfied to get one decent prospect for him. The idea that some team is going to throw multiple assets Denver's way for Lawson is crazy.

I expect the Rockets to wait at least the 30 days required for newly signed rookies to be able to be traded. Gives us additional assets to trade and possibly even more important, more salary.

That is a ridiculous assumption to make. I wouldn't give Lawson up for 1 good prospect. So where did you get this b.s. from that the only reason a trade hasn't been made is because we don't want to?

Pulling **** out of your ass.

if Dekker is to be included definitely. I would hope Jones would suffice but it depends on what we are aiming for.

Word around Denver is that the Nugs want Lawson gone before training camp. Reason being, is they don't want Ty to have any kind of negative influence on Mudiay. The Nuggets have supposedly steered Mudiay toward Jameer Nelson (who isn't currently even officially on their roster) for guidance. The plan is to re-sign Nelson to serve as a mentor for Mudiay. The relationship between Lawson & the Nuggets is broken beyond repair & he will be gone without question. They still place high value on Lawson as a player, so they are reluctant to just dump him for what they feel is an inferior return. My best guess is that they will continue to explore all of their options & try to create some sort of leverage in order to get a better return for Lawson than they have already been offered...but if they haven't managed to get what they are looking for by the start of training camp, then they will bite the bullet & take the best offer they have on the table, even if they think theyre getting hosed. Its a pretty common opinion around here & seems to make a lot of sense. I personally hope Morey can land Lawson...dude can ball. I know there's some deficiencies in regard to his defensive abilities, but what he brings on offense is pretty much spot on with what this team needs. He can get to the rim, draw fouls, create for himself, is a better distributor & shooter than he gets credit for. He does alot of the things Harden does...just not quite on James' level. He would most likely shoot the 3 much better in Houston too...as he doesn't get a whole lot of open looks in Denver.

maybe he's not such a bad fit

with expectations of dmo having another breakout year since he'll be playing pf and not center, that makes him a solid scoring option. with him and lawson, and with dwight being healthy and having a real pg on his team, harden can drop his scoring avg to the low 20s, and focus more on defense. with 4 solid scoring options they can take turns carrying the scoring laod

though beverley would need more than 20mpg and see some time at the 2.

if harden and ty can be more team player and sacrifice some of their stats and play more defense, then he'd be a good fit here.

Imagine a small ball line up of Beverly, Lawson, Brewer, Ariza, Dmo....

No player in the history of the league has ever learned how to lock down D after previously being bad.

it's a sleight of hand, lebron james was considered a pretty bad defender for his first few years
