Plus Corey Brewer has yet to officially sign. Montrezl my fezzle too. Could be nothing though. I just find it odd.
Really. NBA rotations are (pretty much) 9-10 guys depending on the coach. And the 9th guy doesn't get many minutes. Roster building requires the rotation guys + vets who know their place/role + young guys who have to wait their time. Put a roster together with 15 guys who expect 20 mpg MINIMUM and one has a recipe for disaster. Old NBA axiom - - in a one - for multiple player trade the team that gets the one guy wins the trade.
i doubt it he has no offersheet yet. I think he's waiting for the best offersheet possible. Do you know for what agency his agent works for? He has already pushed KJ to risk and take a chance.
What's going on in the background is people don't agree with your assessment and aren't ready to tie their money up with McDaniels until they are sure better prospects are off the table.
and that axiom has been proved wrong many teams so it's really not an axiom. It's just something that happens SOME times. Esp when the players dealt are so young. And Phoenix has NO bench and doesn't want to keep and won't keep Markieff for much longer. He is a cancer atm. Their other guys that need playing time are mostly in the guards positions and can't anyway because of Knight Bledsoe.
Unless KJ has fixed that broke shot, we're fretting over someone who will only get garbage minutes, at most. Does anyone know if he's been working with a shot doctor?
this is the link with the remaining fa left. Look and tell me what better prospect is available : http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1363694#start_here noone.
I would be very surprised if that happens. My thoughts Smith will either get an offer we can't match or resign for what we can offer w/o MLE. Harrell will get a mil and if Wood continues to play well they may lock him up too. McDaniel will get a chunk if the price is reasonable and if not I think Morey will save the rest for a signing later on down the road. That's the way he likes to work.
It doesn't matter what you think the other teams do not agree or they would have swiped him up already. The best have been gotten. By the way you are on track to pass my post count up by the end of the year.
I guess I'm missing it. What does KJ bring to the table to draw this much attention? If he was so good, wouldn't he have been able to crack the rotation at some point? TBH, I am more concerned with resigning Smoove, especially if TJ is going out in a trade for a PG.
The GARM is full of people picking on certain words today. He obviously meant "worst case scenario" as it pertains to K.J.
That still doesn't answer your claim of "pick up a better prospect" because there is noone left on the market. Ofc. Thank you. I don't speak good english. Didn't think that people would be anal about it.
Your guess is as good as mine. A lot of people on here are sold on McDaniels as an eventual replacement for Brewer. Hell, some already think he should be ahead of Brewer in the rotation. The dude can't shoot and never could get playing time last season. Not to mention the two players ahead of him, Ariza and Brewer, are back this year and Dekker(another SF) was just drafted. I really wish Morey would make him an offer already and just move on if McDaniels isn't interested. If he's the reason we have yet to resign Smith or Terry or make a move for another player, I'm gonna be really PO'd.
this dude needs to be out here proving himself just like all these other 1st and 2nd yr players are from all teams are now in summer league, didn't even sniff the floor with the rockets and were talking about a nightmare situation ?? <a href="http://s1377.photobucket.com/user/LionsSlashWings/media/GIF/shaq-laughing-press-conference-shaq-gifs_zpslcnodthw.gif.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah41/LionsSlashWings/GIF/shaq-laughing-press-conference-shaq-gifs_zpslcnodthw.gif" border="0" alt=" photo shaq-laughing-press-conference-shaq-gifs_zpslcnodthw.gif"/></a>
we have already made an offer count. The qo. It is I think around 1 mil . We can't pay more unless he first signs an offersheet. Then we can match. Right now the qo is the most we can pay him. It's Morrey's actions themselves that say that he rather spend the mle on him than on Smith.
