If you never want a big name player to trust you ever again, then sure. Trade Dwight.

There's an unwritten rule that says you can't trade a max FA acquisition? If his knee is what it is, we're handcuffed?

Brah - had you read my posts you would know I said an Ariza for Jennjngs trade wouldn't make sense until we've seen Jennings play. Upgrading the point when we have Forward depth after confirming Jennings is healthy = extending a maximum 4 year contract to Matthews? Lol.

Anyone know why Brewer hasn't signed? Did I miss it? Is he on vacation or something?

no idea. But I don't think it matters for our cap logistics. Not an expert though. Is there a way to trade for the Hay contract or make a trade and then want to sign Brew as the last since we got his early bird rights? Perhaps there is.

    Lol at us getting Cousins.

No way in hell we would ever be able to get Cousins, no matter how pressed the Kings are to trade him somebody will certainly be able to give a better package then we will.

No matter how much you try to pump up Motiejunas and sell how hard of a time the Kings are going to have getting rid of their 25 year old super star, many many teams will have a better package then us unless where planning on trading Howard which would be real dick move by our front office. I don't know what codman was hinting at any more then the next guy, but I think it's safe to say our "splash" is Cousins.

    LOL

Same posts were put up multiple times about the possibility of us getting Harden before we traded for him.

    LOL

I'm not saying DeMarcus will be traded here. But we are as viable a destination as any. You can't name 3 teams that will offer a better deal for Cousins than Morey would.

celtics Philly Utah Portland Lakers Orlando Toronto Denver Phoenix

Houston neither has the better picks nor the better prospects.
When you make posts like this, trending into the absolute you only serve to make yourself look bad bballholic.

    Lakers - Russell, Randle
    Wizards - Beal, Oubre
    Jazz - Favors, Burks, Gobert
Celtics - Smart, Rozier, Sullinger, Olynyk

Not saying that's necessarily the packages that would be included, but on top of having stronger assets than the Rockets, they also have picks with more value than ours. Those are just four off the top of my head.

It seems to me that something is definitely going on in the background. Josh Smith and KJ McDaniels are 2 of the top 3-4 free agents left on the market, yet we haven't heard a peep from either....especially KJ. Same for Terry.

You cannot be seriously comparing Cousins today to pre rockets Harden.
    Completely different worlds.

agreed. Kj was supposedly reported to be "itching to sign an offersheet" and yet nothing yet.

he probably has no offer sheet yet. Suspect Smith might be promised most of MLE if KJ goes elsewhere.

my nightmare scenario with KJ is that his agent told him to wait till Sunday when OKC will match Kanter and free Portland's money.
