Dammit. That trailer was way too damn good. The movie can't possibly live up to it. I'm gonna keep my expectations grounded, but my goodness was the trailer amazing.
Oh man this trailer is so good!!! Got me way more excited now that before. We can actually see Batman grapple and use his gadgets like in the comics instead of him being more grounded (not that I'm hating on Nolan's films).
DC movies are horrible these days, the only thing they had going for them was Christian Bale as Batman and they've managed to mess that up. I think Affleck as Batman was a bad idea. Not that super hero action movies are based in reality but within the rules it should make logical sense. A lot from Superman did not make sense. There was no good reason why his original parents died per the movie, they just needed to die for the script. There was no reason for his adopted dad to die so people wouldnt see his powers when people had already seen his powers growing up and plus who cares its your dad, just bad writing. I'm not excited about this movie either mostly because of Affleck though.
Jessie Eisenberg as Lex Luthor seems a strange choice. Not exactly an expert, but Eisenberg seems more "Riddler" than Luthor. I don't think of Lex Luthor as being particularly high strung and neurotic, which is Eisenberg's wheelhouse. Rather I think of him as calm, cold and calculating. Maybe I just don't know the character well enough.
I like the trailer but still think they might be trying to cram too much in with Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor.
It looks like Lex Luthor may be the reason Superman and Batman are fighting. Maybe he is controlling him somehow?
Wow, I like that angle. Eisenberg just seems off in the trailer. I don't know I've always pictured Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor.
Yeah Lex is supposed to be sort of scary, Eisenberg looks about 10 years old, doesn't exactly install fear, lol.
In the cartoons, Lex is tall, bald, and well built. Eisenburg is short, small, and full of hair. Plus he seems like an evil hacker more than anything in this. I hope his character dies so we can focus more on Batman and Superman's love triangle with Wonderwoman.
Ben will do just fine, purge the bias out of your mind and give him a chance. This movie will be gooood.
