On paper, I'd take a flyer on him. But Deron has all sorts of attitude issues. If you're a team with nothing to lose, like Dallas is, you can afford to go all or nothing and take him in. We, on the other hand, have a lot to lose if Deron decides to wreck the delicate chemistry we have here.

There are a bunch of guys that are supposedly on the trading block that I would take over him. George Hill, Ty Lawson, DJ Augustin (especially if Thunder match Kanter's offer sheet), and even Eric Bledsoe.

Yeah Dwill is the exact picture of health. C'mon man Dwill is one of the most injured players in the league I donf he has had a completely healthybseason sincd he left Utah. More importantly the guy doesnt even want to play basketball anymore, he's been mailing the effort and just cashing in the checks Brooklyn gives him.

Has brooklyn really ever put together a team to warrant that kind of effort from D Will. Years of promises but also years of just signing over the hill useless players and "ticket sellers". It's the Nets....

This is right on. Bledsoe is someone that would be PERFECT for Houston. His contract is also reasonable with the Cap going up next season. We also signed Bev for pennies. If he could stay healthy it would be great but now he'd just add to the issue we had last season which was healthy players. I'll take Terry back over this guy.

The only Williams that we need is Alan Williams.

He got paid the max don't you think that enough to warrant effort? Maybe you forgot but DWill was one of the major reasons the Nets super team didn't pan out, that team had Joe Johnson, Pierce, Kg, Brook Lopez, Gerald Wallace and Kirilenko you think that isn't good enough to make noise in the East? They lost a ton of games and really only got traction when Dwill got injured and his backup started getting extended mins.

Bledsoe would be a great addition. Maybe one to give us title contention but how could we afford his without losing another valuable peice? The reason I was excited about DWill is if he was coming off a buyout maybe he'd take less money for a chance to win.

I'm in disbelief that Williams signed with the Mavs. He could come here and be a starting PG for a team that's top 4 in the league for the same money. We have Beverley so we can manage his minutes.

He must not care at all about winning a title. Unless his ego is telling him he can lift the Mavs into contender status? lol

    Ridiculous.

This is what Rockets would be getting...

Dont care for him anymore because of his age/injuries.

However, how awesome would it be though if he decides to sign with the Rockets at the last minute and leaves Cuban hanging?

It would have been nice to have him 5yrs ago,but not now he has gotten progressively worse each season since he left the Jazz. Thanks but no thanks.

Signing KJ & Smooth, or just Smooth by himself is a better use of the MLE. Josh Smith is a far more effective player even though.... yes, yes, I get it.... THE ROCKETS NEED A PG UPGRADE. Yes, we freaking get it. Pitchforks and Jon Snow knifes come on out.

Some folks, or most folks for that matter are really stuck in the past, and all they know are big names. Deron Williams is a "big name" but he hasn't done a thing in the league, and has barely stayed healthy for the past 5 years. At one point he was really good with the Jazz. Guess what... Gilbert Arenas was too. Antwan Jamison was as well.

We need to get our heads out of the past, and worry about the future. Let them Mavs have him.
