True, but it's not particularly valuable/valued as a SOLE skill-set. The GREAT rebounders in NBA history all had other things in their games. The ones who weren't particularly adept offensively were still AMAZING defenders and capable of making a putback. If he can do that, then sure, happy to have him on board as the next in a long line of undersized Rockets bigs. Furkan Aldemir comes to mind... though he has more size. Give that guy a semblance of an offensive game and he'd probably be signing a max contract this offseason... lol.
Can't tell if you are agreeing or disagreeing with BimaThug. He said "Tariq Black" as a comparison. Do you consider Black "particularly valued" by your "True" statement. You shift the discussion a lot by talking about the GREAT rebounders in NBA History.
I'm assuming you mean Montrezl Harrell when you said 'Vontrez'? I'm still laughing hard though because I have no idea how you made up that name. It's like that Key and Peele skit.
The Houston Rockets have evolved from Chase "Hard G" Budinger to Patrick "Extra E" Beverley and Donatas "No N" Motiejunas to Montrezl "Silent L" Harrell.
I'm just discussing basketball. Not every thread has to proceed by one person saying something only to have responders agree or disagree with the point. It's unfortunate that discussion in the world in general has become so much more agree/disagree reactionary. But if you MUST know.... I was agreeing with his point, but expounding on why he wasn't considered in the 2nd round... because so far he has no other skill set besides rebounding, and as a sole skill-set it's one of the least valuable ones you can have that matter on an NBA court.
I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing, but merely asking a sincere question (I say this, because otherwise what I'm about to write may sound snarky). I am unfamiliar with Williams so I looked him up and he maintained a very nice scoring average through college. However, you say he doesn't have any skills beside rebounding, so how did he score in college? Was it all putbacks/PnR?
Today's game isn't on NBATV, it's on ESPN3. EDIT: Hmm, NBA.com says that all of today's games are on NBATV. Must be wrong, because they can't show 6 games in a 4.5 hour window.
