I get the feeling that Fegan really damaged his reputation with the DJ thing - doubt anyone trusts his opinion about Dallas anymore...plus Dwight would be an idiot to join that dumpster fire anytime soon. They'll tear it down and rebuild regretting that Parsons contract every day of it.
Deron Williams isn't that good. Most importantly, his games played counts for the last five years are: 65, 55, 78, 64, 68 More than that, his shooting was horrendous last year and only salvaged by an "ok" 3 point percentage. And his usage was 22% (for comparison, Lawson at 20%) This is the new NBA. That doesn't mean the Warriors model is the all, end all. But it does mean the game is moving a little faster, a little freer and with more, better 3 point shooters. I mean, at the MLE would I take him? I guess, it's a good use of money at that point. But I'm not that excited about it, and wouldn't be surprised to see him injured 20 games, suck 20 games and be average and not that helpful in the playoffs... he had a 12.9 PER in the playoffs this year...
The fact that Dwill wants a buyout to go join a tanking Dallas team shows that he doesn't want to win. So why even get him? He isn't good under pressure and he proved it in Brooklyn. Btw I watched many Brooklyn matches and he wasn't good. But mostly he doesn't care much anymore.
Yeah its going to be interesting. I'd like to think that Morey & Les have the guts to call Dwight's bluff and let him walk to Dallas, but I don't know about Les mostly. Keeping the Stars in Houston is important to him. With Morey... I think he'd actually look at things differently, and say "We can do more with his salary." I honestly think Dwight himself probably wants nothing to do with leaving Houston so it will be interesting if one of Fegan's biggest clients says enough and forces him to the table with Morey to work out a deal. For whatever reason though, all of Fegan's players NEVER stand up to the guy. How DJ hasn't fired him yet is beyond me. I'm indifferent either way. I could be fine letting him walk, or bringing him back. Ideally you'd want him back at a discount, but I seriously don't see that happening. The biggest thing I do NOT want is to see Fegan turn yet another offseason into a media circus with another one of his clients (Dwight again) looking like an A#$ Clown.
And why the hell would Dwight leave to Dallas? Makes no sense. Even he is smart enough to read the tea leaves. Already told Fegan once he'd rather sign with Houston. There's nothing for him up there and he seems pretty happy with us. Not happening.
Dwight has health problems so it's highly unlikely that he will take a 1+1. Not even stars in their prime like Love or Aldridge took this. Only Lebron and ........afflalo Players still value security over the maximum cashout.
it;s about time. Let's get this over with so we can move on with Smith and a pg. Also with Dallas going after Dwill maybe they can't poison pill him anymore.
Right. A lot of factors come into play. I don't necessarily believe Dwight will want to leave; he did tell Fegan to eff off once before, although you know Chandler Parsons will be whispering sweet nothings in his ear: "You and me, bro! We can make it! You and me!" Dwight might be unwilling to undergo the media gauntlet of going to another team, but by the time all this rolls around, he might be old news anyway, or he might not care so much. About the only thing he could do to repair his image overall would be to rescue octogenarians or orphan children or exploited workers from a burning building. Even then it would be, "Yeah, Dwight did a cool thing, that was great......he's still a b***, tho." But I'd be of two minds, too. If he left I'd hate to see Satan Cuban and his Left Nut Fegan and Captain Rim Job Parsons orchestrate another disaster. On the other? That's 22 million bucks to spend on a player not in decline who can, you know, hit an occasional free throw.
howard will have win a ring to make the people stop million baby momma playa hatin on dwight. he likes to procreate leave him alone
