I believe there's a reason why a strong playoff team would not want Lin. He completely sucks under pressure and in the playoffs it's all about pressure. Think about Linsanity, that two week streak that made him famous. That was a zero pressure situation. The Knicks suck, Carmelo was hurt. Think about when there was a pressure game, the Heat. Mario Chalmers clamped him up. LOL. Yung-T wanted numbers. Well there are the numbers. He is taking a beating in this thread now as well.
Never said Lin was great in the past, read my post. Completely agree with tinman's post and that's what I mean with actual discussion (except for the cursing). Maybe read what I say and how I react before making your "Yung-T receives such a beating hihihihi "
Yes, yes. *laugh* Great??! Cant even start the discussion with "average" with those numbers! Now get off your high horse and provide me with the source I asked you for the claim you just made.
I'm at work and only on my phone, you can easily look it up. Mavs offered 500k more per year and got rejected.
I just think it's funny that being the back up point guard on a lottery team is a good basketball situation because there are no high expectations to disappoint. Ha
Cant find it. Provide me with the source once you get back home. PS. LOL @ 500k more. Pretty much this. Do people not think about what they type now? "He pussied out and ran to play on one of the worst teams in the league behind Kemba Walker!! Yeay! Good situation!!" There is a word for it. Its called being a "mental midget". Every self respecting athlete wants to play on a good team and in the playoffs...more importantly a team with a wining culture. The only way it makes sense to do otherwise is if he gets compensated financially for the downgrade. But if what Yung_T is saying is true, Lin actually took less to go to a crappier team! Way to demote yourself young man! And to think that Lin fans were angry at the demotion of him getting sent to bench for Patrick Beverley and Jordan Clarkson.
I Know and it's only getting started. Wait to the season when these .....let me stop now. Oh Lordy Oh Lordy. LOL.
So Lin taking 'less' money is not the same as David West taking less money to play on a contender. What it sounds like to me when you decipher what Lin says about joining the Hornets is that he just wants to NOT LEARN how to adapt and run new offenses, and just do pick and rolls. He also wants NO PRESSURE of being on a playoff team like the Rockets or in the MEDIA EYE of the Lakers. The scary part is that Lin was on a BAD TEAM last year and he's stats were not so good.
I would call it smart, would you accept a job position you don't feel qualified for and where failing could really hurt your career? He has to think long-term now and accepted a deal he thinks will be better for his next contract negotiations. This is a business first, not a who has the biggest balls contest.
Welcome on board CF. I'll keep it simple since almost everything has been covered. Lin the player is what he is. His $2M scrub contract as a back up at the age of 27, to a non playoff (no offense here) team in the Eastern Conference says it all. He has a very low basketball IQ, perhaps the lowest IQ of any player present. Extremely dumb when it comes to understanding concepts. He is a mental midget and crumbles with the slightest amount of pressure. He is extremely turnover prone more so at critical junctions when the pressure goes up. His go to play is drive in to the lane heads down with no idea what he is doing and then jump in the air and give up a live ball turnover. If you do make the playoffs, I suggest hiding him at the far end of the bench. Lin fans are the most obnoxious, deplorable, asinine people around. They are all around mentally deficient, each and every single one of them especially when it comes to basketball. They live vicariously through Lin and watch out for all sorts of accusations and conspiracy theories if Lin doesn't get his numbers and his playing time. They couldn't care less for the team success. Their famous go to line is racism. They will call everyone a racist from the coach to the players and especially the Kemba and say he is marginalizing Lin. Oh and they will wish serious injury upon players who they feel are minimizing Lin's all star potential. Kemba Wlaker is in for a tough ride with these despicable idiots. You wouldn't believe the amount of **** they caused here with stupid threads. They are the same lot that believes Lin is better than Lillard. Forget Lillard, they think Lin is better than Nash. They think Harden should have been the 6th man here instead of Lin. I suggest putting them all in one thread or else these cockroaches will spread everywhere and infect your house. Lock them up in one place. These are not humans you are dealing with. They are pests. Good luck to you and your board.
What? He played extremely well in the media eye of the NY. Media isn't his problem. What does bad team have to do with whether your stats is good or not. That's confirmation bias dude. Wait, so no high aspiration but wanted to be on a team where he can be high?? His problem is himself. Dude just weak mentally and while outwardly very nice and sincere, torment himself internally. It's not that uncommon of a a trait of certain type of very devoted people to certain devotion. . That's my own twisted view.
