IF matthews can return healthy this is only a small albatross not a big albatross. It could be traded but honestly this is a decision that makes sense only emotionally not financially.
So I hear that OKC has to dump Augustin, Novak, and PJ3 so they can match Kanter's offer sheet. Throw Papa's unguaranteed contract at them to land a good point guard to complement with Bev and nab a shooter.
Indiana and Los Angeles swapping centers. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Free-agent F Jordan Hill will sign with the Indiana <a href="https://twitter.com/Pacers">@Pacers</a> source tells Sporting News</p>— Sean Deveney (@SeanDeveney) <a href="https://twitter.com/SeanDeveney/status/619290007203741696">July 9, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
finally!!!! lol took them too godamn long to make this move that makes sense for both parties. I started to wonder if Bird was going senile.
As the world turns, day by day, we are sitting prettier and prettier. We are going to resign Josh reasonably and we have lots of poise, and non-key assets to trade for a good PG (Lawson)
Makes se since they have so much cap room to waste. Or did the updated Mathews deal put them over the cap? Anyway, what would be our next move if Dallas over Josh an unreasonably high contract for what he's worth?
they have 17 mil in capspace with Matthews at his new contract. And now I'm afraid they will go after Houston. Both KJ and Smith. I have no idea what Morrey will do except that I'm waiting for a trade for a pg.
Didn't know that, but 3 months is still a long time for another trade option to come up. I fully expect Lawson to be traded before training camp starts, they want Mudiay running the point. Also players like Collison, Jennings, IT or Bradley may be on the market soon as well. Augustin is alright, but we could always sign a vet min player like Gordon, Calathes, Bynum, Shved etc as backups as well for free.
