For a guy that's pretty good offensively, 2mil is underpaid, he might take this money to have less pressure, who knows he might play better with less money.

I think you missed the post where Danang called Clutch a hypocrite and the attempt to troll Rockets fans when we were down 3-1 to the Clippers. He's here to troll and has never attempted a logical refutation. No stats or analysis of Lin's game thus far.

You and anyone who criticizes Lin for his poor play will be labeled a racist as will your coach, gm and Lin's teammates who don't pass him the ball enough. Kemba will be the target for sure. You will be told that Lin has the potential to be better then both Steve Nash and Tony Parker. The best though is they will root for other payers to get injured to free up time for Jeremy. By far the worse fan base in all of sports. I honestly feel bad for you Lin only fan which is the equivalent of someone missing a chromosome
Lin biggest problem as a pg is that he hasn't taken advantage of a floater when he is near the rim. Too often he stops hesitates and then gets trapped by the bigger opponents and tries to force a pass and it's a TO. I can't see him changing but who knows. This I believe is his last chance or its good bye NBA.
Good for him and anybody hating on Lin, the Hornets or that contract are just being silly. Awesome deal and wish Lin all the best! He's inconsistent and mentally weak, so I would never want him back, but let's not act like he's not a solid NBA back up.
First of all, major props to you for not only being a Hornets fan, but also running a fan site for them. I mean it. :grin: LOF = Loser only fan, or in this case, Lin only fan. They worship a mediocre bench player and live vicariously through him, thinking he is God's gift to basketball. They boast about his salary, although that might change with the 2M a year number now. You can look at Danang78 and Blueshampoo posts for examples. I warn you, you might want to drop your IQ down by double digits to make sense of their ramblings. Keep it dumb. Us Rockets fans have dealt with this plague for a few years. If this were Walking Dead, you have just come to Rick and his team for advice on how to handle the walkers. Excellent move. So here are some things that are headed your way and some quick tips: 1) Your coach is ****ed. If does not start Lin, your coach is a racist. If he sits Lin down to manage his rotation, he hates Lin. If he sits Lin down after Lin has made two or three consecutive shots, your coach is an idiot to take a player "on fire".....which kind of makes sense because i can be rarity with Lin. The only good coach is one that plays Lin 48 minutes per game and hands him theball to run 200 pick and roll plays entire game. Tough crowd to please. 2) Your best player on the team is ****ed. So are others. Everyone is ****ed. Kemba Walker? Holding Lin back. Al Jefferson? Taking all the shots. Batum? A role player not good enough to be demanding the ball from Lin. Every player will be scrutinized for weakness in their games and used as an excuse for Lin's mistakes. Its a preemptive defense ammo for them for Lin's bad performances. 3) Jeremy Lin over the team. You need to get this through your head right now. They do not care about the Hornets. They are only there because your team had the misfortune of acquiring Jeremy Lin. A good team win to them means absolutely nothing if Jeremy Lin's minutes were limited and he did not get his stats. Conversely, if Lin got his minutes and had a good game, despite the team getting their ass kicked, it was a great night for them. 4) The polls on your site are meaningless now. Any poll on the internet regarding Jeremy Lin is flooded with the Lin horde. Dont even go there. Its a waste of time. 5) Beware of the sweet talk pattern. Both Rockets and Lakers have gone through this. When the team acquires Lin, there is a mass influx of LOFs on the site, all pretending to be nice. As soon as the **** hits the fan, or season begins as we call it, the true creature emerges. Lakers site installed a strict ban policy from the very beginning and even then they had issues. Clutch here is very liberal when it comes ban. Either way it will be hard for you. You might want to assemble an emergency response team right now. 6) It will never be Jeremy Lin's fault. Ever. Jeremy Lin turned the ball over? Al Jefferson is not good enough to catch Lin's creative passes. Jeremy Lin airballed? Kemba Walker handed him the ball with only a few second left on the clock. Jeremy Lin drove into the lane, jumped in the air to make a pass and threw the ball away? None of the teammtes are moving without the ball to give Lin passing lanes. Jeremy Lin ran into a wall and commited the turnover? No one on the team sets a good pick for Lin. If you have a concern, they have an excuse. 7) Jeremy Lin's minutes and sub patterns will be under strict scrutiny. If his minutes drop, explanation will be demanded. No explanation = coach hates Jeremy because he is Asian. Explanation provided = coach hates Jeremy because he is Asian. 8) Speaking of which, they will talk about Jeremy Lin and his race freely (They compare Jeremy Lin to Jackie Robinson. I kid you not, you can search here for the thread) but as soon as you talk about race being a factor in Lin's popularity, you are labeled a racist! Expect plenty of your long time users as well as yourself to be labeled a racist. They have accused this site's owner (Clutch) of racism plenty of times simply because he would not close down threads that criticize Jeremy Lin. So, ff you dont delete threads that openly criticize Lin, you might be deemed a racist. 9) Expect plenty of detailed explanation attempts by LOFs as to how the coach is holding him back and better yet, detailed explanation as to how to solve them. These gems come from folks that started watching basketball for the first time since they heard of Jeremy Lin. 10) Expect very passive aggressive tweets from Jeremy Lin himself aimed at the organization. He never expresses things openly but tweets religious passive aggressive comments to mobilize his fanbase. He is well aware of his crazy fan base and has even defended them. 11) This applies more to your coach. Expect crazy Lin reporters surrounding the coach after each game and asking some of te most inane question about him. Mcale got fed up with it. Scott was fed up with it. Heck, even Clutch (owner of the site) that also does Rockets media, and is there during interviews, seemed to be fed up with it. 12) Expect to be constantly reminded of Linsanity: a stretch of games during his Knicks tenure where he was excellent. Rockets and Lakers fans are still waiting for Linsanity. You will be waiting for the return of Linsanity. Chances are Jesus will return befoe Linsanity does. If you doubt any of this and want to know what kind of creatures are headed your way, go visit jeremylin.net for a while or jlinportal (I believe) now but especially once the season starts. You will be shocked by the comments on there! Some things about Jeremy Lin as a player.... 1) Airballs. Expect plenty of airballs. Lin will give you 1-2 airballs a game. For example: 2) Turnovers. Expect some really ugly turnovers. The kinds that make you wonder if he just picked a basketball up for the first time the night before. He will have a few decent game, maybe even one or two good-excellent games, but then plenty of clunkers all over the place as well. Expect inconsistency even within the games. A tale of two halves is a very common theme for him. Maor frustration headed your way. 6) Mental midget of the highest order. If he does not hit his first few shots, expect him to struggle the rest of the game. He lets things bother him easily. He cannot handle criticism and benching well. Constantly thinks about it and it kills his game. Takes a while for him to recover. 7) His biggest problem? The guy cant dribble. Seriously, he has some of the worst handles you will come across in a NBA point guard. Teams will often send a weakside defender from the blindside because its a sure fire turnover. And because his handles are terrible, if teams pressure him, he starts to panic and run around like a headless chicken which usually turns into a turnover. But it will never be Lin's fault. 6) Talk to the arena owners and consider shortening the 3 point line by a couple of inches. Stepping onto the 3 point line while attempting a 3 is one of Lin's fav. shots. Lastly, as i said, because he is a mental midget, he cannot handle pressure well. Rockets were a playoff team and he crumbled under pressure. Could not adjust and Rockets had to trade him away. Lakers put some pressure on him to work with Kobe to make the playoffs and he crumbled there as well. Could not take Kobe's and Scott's constructive criticism. Neither Lin nor his fans handle criticism well. However, there really isnt any pressure on the Hornets. This is your biggest hope. Pamper the mental midget, put no pressure on him, and expect nothing from him, and maybe he can be more productive on the Hornets than he was on Rockets or Lakers. There is no hope when it comes to LOFs though. As Zach Lowe himself tweeted, when you talk about Lin, you suddenly get reminded of the crazy horde you have to deal with. You are ****ED.
