KJ is a very good wing defender and he can play all over the place. The Rockets appreciate versatile defenders.
Salarywise, isn't Mo Williams getting less than Augustin? I thought he signed for 2.8 mil. I think it's a 2-year deal, but in terms of the 2015-16, there's less money owed to Williams than Augustin. As for your other point, there are plenty of other teams OKC could deal him to. The Rockets aren't the only game in town. I do hope Morey can pull it off, but in a trade, it takes 2(and sometimes 3 or even more) to tango.
http://www.basketballinsiders.com/minnesota-timberwolves-team-salary/ And that is ludicrous. Just because cyberx suggests KJ will be poison-pilled doesn't mean we extrapolate to MLE/MLE/MAX. I'll spew my wheaties if Dallas offers KJ 3/28 or 4/47. Those figures are speculation blown out of proportion. However the full MLE is 4/23.3. And there are multiple teams that could and possibly would offer KJ that much money. The theory being that if he turns out good they've got him at a bargain basement rate on that 4th year. I'm not buying gargantuan salary in the 3rd year of an offer sheet to KJ until I see it. (Kinda like I didn't buy us bringing Llull over until he actually signed his deal.)
mirza teletovic should sign somewhere pretty soon as well. He and Hill and jr smith and josh smith are the best of the ones left.
Minny already will resign KJ so that roster is already at 15. do you think they will let lorenzo brown? Doesn't matter if you don't buy it bballholic. It seems far fetched right now but with the new cap realitiy it is a risk some team may be willing to take. And as mikaj said that's not a poison pill contract anyway. That's just offering full mle money. not a poison pill. Plenty of teams can still offer kj full mle. but a true poison pill not so many.
he's a rfa so i would think yes. I know lol but he's the best of the ones left. I think the cavs are waiting to see what happens with Hay contract to see if they pay him. If they can smh get joe johnson or crawford they may let him go away.
http://www.20minutos.es/deportes/noticia/sergio-llull-amplia-contrato-real-madrid-2021-2506906/0/ Apparently he just added another however many years onto the contract. Signed til 2021. It says he extended the contract for six years until 2021, but I would think he actually had a contract for another couple years and extended say, three or four more seasons. Otherwise he wouldn't have been under contract now and there would have been no buyout worries. The article mentions that the NBA door is still open....although I won't waste much time a year from now worrying about it.
Cyberx only said KJ would get way more than 4/10. 4/23 is way more and the full MLE. It is not a poison pill though. That was my only point. I'm not saying someone will MAX KJ, I agree that would be crazy.
Brown is non-guaranteed. They could buy out Chase. They could possibly trade Bennett for future draft considerations. But they can offer 4/18 today for KJ by simply dropping Brown.
Why cannot the Rockets sign anyone to the veterans minimum? Is the room MLE used for this purpose? I know they don't have access to it.
i think they are looking to trade Benett away already. When is his option picked up? soon I would imagine. Maybe THAT'S who uijiri is leaving the pf spot open. He did say that he wants canadians in the team. After one why not another lol
The Nets rescinded their qualifying offer to Mirza Teletovic on Thursday, making him an unrestricted free agent. he would be a quality pick up if we could get him
the room mle is for teams who were under the cap and now not anymore. I think so anyway but i'm not an expert. We only have the full non taxpayer mle and that's it. With the new contracts the vet min is too low atm. That's why Green's new contract is such a bargain. Also MO wanted to go to the Cavs. He wasn't an option. He wants to go play with Lebron.
