Quick name me all the draft picks in the past 10 years that have become serviceable NBA players that Dallas has drafted.

Cuban looks good because he has had Dirk Nowitzki carrying the team like a hulk the past few years.

Mark Cuban is actually a good owner. He's not a great GM- if you listen to the types of things he says about players, he's not really that smart. He's wise to keep Donnie Nelson around, someone who is actually smart. And he did a good job of getting a great coach- although Rick's been a bit overrated these past few years, but before that, terrific coach.

Now, what he is truly below-average in is his communication and social awareness skills. You may say, "well, he can say what he wants...", but the problem is that if you do that, you invite ridicule b/c, let's face it, we all say dumb things. But for Cuban, it's all out there, and people actually pay attention to him. That's where the ridicule comes in. He says unnecessary crap to rile up people, then acts all butthurt when he doesn't get his way. And I would say the same about Morey and his tweets, although most of his are all in fun and he doesn't get his panties up in a wad like Cuban does.

He's just... well, immature, I don't know how else to say it. For an owner of a major sports team, he's a big baby. What I would do if I were Cuban is learn how to be more of a silent owner - he'll gain way more respect that way.

I'd also enroll Parsons in social media training, as well.

Now, for the Clippers, they come out of this looking like complete douches, as well. How does Doc not INSIST that Deandre talk to Cuban??? I mean, that has to be one of the most douchebag things I've ever heard. Heck, it makes Dwight Howard look like the absolute model of how you go about handling free agency- man up and talk to these people, for Christ's sakes. I won't even talk about Jordan- mental midget who deserves to be booed in Dallas for the rest of his career- and I hate Dallas and I'm saying that.

Ultimately, it's beautiful b/c both franchises were hurt tremendously by all this- and they can't take it back, either- once Jordan signed with LA w/o calling Cuban even once, they doomed themselves for the time being as a douchebag franchise. And Cuban now must tank, and he must learn to keep his verbal wars with Jason Kidd, Deron Williams, Deandre Jordan, etc. out of the media.

Don't forget- this was the guy that completely threw Avery Johnson under the bus- telling the media that no one wanted to play for him, which is why he fired him- how can you be that stupid and say things like that to the media

Tell you what, I'll go on that ****ing Sharktank and here's my invention- a media press machine designed specifically for sports owners- you type in what you're really wanting to say, and the machine provides a translated, euphemized, sanitized response for them to use. I mean, for the love of Mary Magdalene, do I have to spell it out for the ****er???

"I will always put the Mavericks first and foremost. We tried to sign Deandre Jordan and we had a verbal agreement, but he decided to go another route. I'm sure it was a difficult decision for him and we wish him well in his future endeavors. As for the Mavericks, I will sit down with Donnie and Rick, and we will move forward on plan B. If any Mavericks season ticket holders have any questions, they can contact me directly via email and I'll be glad to answer any specific questions they have. I will always do everything I can to make the Mavericks franchise the best in basketball." Now, please someone copy-paste and send this to Cuban and tell him this is how you do it- HIGH-ROADING IT is how you earn the respect of the league.

Why the hell are you guys wasting time on a troll?

The dude is so butthurt over Lin and his perceived mistreatment at our hands, his only function here is to insult the team, organization and fanbase.

The fact you guys are so hardheaded you think your verbal arguments are gonna do any good is mindblowing.

Just ignore the troll and move on.

Preaching to the choir guys, but it's #1s call.

I guess Clutch keeps em around so you guys will have someone to b**** at other than other Rockets fans.

and just so I can stay on topic, as a lifelong resident of the greater Houston area, I'm enjoying the hell out of this just because it is Dallas that it's happening to.

Im not afraid of the Clippers at all with Jordan or without Jordan. I have faith that the Rockets will be just as good or better this year...regardless of all the pansies that think the Rockets are lucky to win any games at all against real teams.

yep dallas with its hypocritical owner talking about chemistry then turns around and gets rid of the SG and Center last year and then tries to buy his way for another championship.. and add his overpaid loud mouthed super star/GM wanna be talking smack even before anything is signed.. Dirk realizing he gave up $10M a year just for this and asking for a trade will be icing on the cake..

Perhaps it would be better if there was a way of labeling them a Lin troll, I think it would shorten a lot of conversations.

I don't ever like seeing a player back out of a verbal agreement (part of my extreme dislike for Boozer who has done it twice and Fisher), but it could not have happened to a more deserving franchise, save maybe the Lakers, Knicks, or Jazz. I would have loved to have seen Cuban's reaction when this turd hit the fan.

Have to agree. It's the team's responsibility to keep in touch with their free agent until he signs that contract. The Mavs and Parsons had been angling for Jordan for months before the moratorium. Hell I heard Cuban was partying in the same club as Jordan and Parsons even before July 1st. You play dirty to lure a player then don't whine like a b**** when you get done the same way.
