this is a really bad idea for Mr. "Sources" Broussard to directly message cuban - he should stand behind ESPN (unless ESPN is tired of his BS like the rest of us are)
Broussard is making that **** up. He originally said he was driving around Dallas. Simple mistake? Fine, okay, whatever. But do we really believe Mark didn't know where DeAndre lived or couldn't find the info through Dan Fegan (or someone else?). Come on.
Mark Cuban doesn't know DeAndre Jordan's address but he has the cell phone numbers of all of his family members so he can text them frantically!
Thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You dont think Deandre's agent woulda given his address to Cuban? He still has other clients that might need Cuban's money. cmon Chris. I respect yah man, but bro srsly
I trust Cuban a lot more than I trust Broussard and his sources (I wonder if they are still telling him Dwight Howard is going to re-sign with the Lakers). I'd believe that Cuban would be working his phone trying to get a meeting, but you don't show up to somebody's house when they clearly don't want you there.
Broussard reminds me of that sleezy writer in the final season of the wire. He will probably get a raise and higher profile thanks to this.
This looks a whole lot more like Cuban texting family members to persuade Jordan to meet with Cuban. Of course, Broussard comes off looking like an idiot with his multiple sources.
To me, this is a fire-able offense by Broussard. Blatantly lying about one of the owners of an NBA team is not cool and it will affect how others treat him going forward. Yes, people already know that he's about as craptastic as they come in terms of having any journalistic integrity...but this likely ends any chance he had with people who might have still had a shred of respect for him.
