I'm pretty sure the families of the people being eulogized approved of his comments and probably asked him to do the eulogy for a reason. And given that those memorials about those people - and not you - I'm not sure why you'd think your opinion of what should be said at the event would be remotely relevant.
He is certainly educated but that doesn't mean he is intelligent. Or maybe he is and is just intellectually dishonest. Or maybe he is a sociopath. What is certain is that any relatively intelligent person who is exposed the level of education Cruz has and still rejects facts and science is absolutely mentally flawed in some way. That's kind of dangerous when that person strives to be the most powerful man in the world. If you had cancer, would you go to a medical doctor who swore eating three bags of skittles a day cured cancer but could show you no evidence to support that notion? That's basically the equivalent of type of educated imbecile we're dealing with in Ted Cruz.
At a eulogy where people died from gun violence it seems appropriate to mention gun control. It isn't overly political, or out of place in the slightest.
Their heads would burst the moment they realize they're calling for Blacks to arm themselves with guns.
So which GOP candidate would people trust to bring gravitas to the bully pulpit? Who has shown speaking eloquence or a unifying message?
Yeah, I'm not trying to be a d!ck, and I don't consider him a political enemy on a national scale since he has zero chance ever to be president. It's just that after I familiarized myself with his positions, took the time to read about him and went out of my way to listen to him I never once thought, You know, I'm not sure I agree with this guy but he is certainly smart. Listen to him speak. What does he say that makes you think that he's smart? Again, I'm fascinated by this. It's not because I think he has a future in politics. He doesn't. I mean, he can probably win another senate term if he wants to, but he most likely doesn't. So I don't know whether people really, truly think he's smart or if they think that if they say it enough maybe it will somehow become true. Either way it's pretty sad that this guy is the one dude that the neo-confederates put forward as their party's intellectual.

Here we have posts calling Cruz nothing short of a crazy dickbag only for commodore to post a video of him getting interviewed by a crazier dickbag. Paired with the right wing girl, even the comeliest of babes could look like a supermodel.
It's getting nasty out there kids! Republican-on-Republican violence Ted Cruz on Donald Trump: I ‘Salute’ Him Christie Calls Out 'Hypocritical' Cruz For Refusing To Condemn Trump As Republican infighting grows, donors call for calm
As you know, GOP wouldn't get invited to eulogize the victims of their brand of gun policies and/or race politics, and particularly not both. It's funny though to hear you b**** about this, because a few weeks ago you told us the "genteel" (read: happy field & house hands with their benevolent confederate flag flying overseers) South carolina black folk wouldn't go for a smooth jive talking agitating hustler like Barry O Guess you were wrong, those genteel folk got all uppity.
No kidding, does he know we already work more than nearly every country out there? http://www.businessinsider.com/aver...for-americans-vs-the-rest-of-the-world-2013-8
