But they can poison pill the contract like we did with Omer and Lin. It'll be overpay but we would have lost an asset. I was worried about this when I heard Jordan was flip flopping.
Is a team really going to want to tie up 12 mil a year to sign KJ? Maybe, but I'd highly doubt it. Even in that example, he's only given the MLE the first year.
Bima answered this in the op. The example he uses is a 4/47. Which we could match but yes would be "poison pilled " after year three but he stds that offering team has to have 12 mil in avaible cap space through the life of the contract.
No, if you pay attention to what Bima said, it would hit the Rockets cap like this 2015-16: $5.5 million 2016-17: $5.7 million 2017-18: $17.6 million 2018-19: $18.3 million and if we let him go, it would hit around 12 mil a year to whatever team got him The numbers are not 100% accurate, but they are very close. If the Rockets choose to keep KJ McDaniels, it can't cost more than the MLE.....and likely much less because I doubt anyone wants to clear 12 mil a year worth of cap space for him.

He won't get anywhere near the full MLE because no one values him that much 9 points per game shooting worst than 40% from the field and 2 turnovers in 25 minutes on a team that was losing 90% of their games. And that was the better part of his season (with Philly) Seriously guys, why are you talking crazy?
because people unlike you have kept an eye on the new deals signed and also are educated on something called the cap rise.
Just because the cap will rise doesn't mean you throw money away at unproven players. Not saying KJ won't be good but he's done almost nothing yet. Certainly not enough to earn a full MLE deal. If someone thinks he will be special certainly they would have offered him that already. And if someone does offer the full MLE I can assure you Morey will not match or at least I would bet confidently he won't.
ok. let's' make a sig bet that morrey won't match a full mle offersheet. Nothing serious just a funny phrase in the sig. like for example if i lose i will write old man rock owns me or smth.
ive actually enjoyed your posts. not this one though. like the other guy just said, the cap rise will doesnt mean every player, proven or not, will get that big of a contract.
thats a crappy bet because no one will offer him the mle i bet you that no one will offer him the full mle. you down?
