Smoove to Dallas definitely means KJ stays.

The Mavericks' world, possibly. Of course, Sheridan Hoops and cyberx are some of the least reliable sources on the Internet, so it's probably best to wait for real reporters to say something.

If Dwight feels he will be closer to a title by playing with Parsons and Smoove rather than James Harden, then that's just fine.

Agree to disagree. He was our second highest usage player. We can still contend but odds took a step back.

it hurts the teams depth. he played pretty well while Dwight and or DMO were out.

Oh man, Josh smith on a bad team is going to be painfully hilarious to watch. 1/3 into the season when they are below .500 he gonna start chucking. Carlisle's head is gonna explode.

Both Gallo and Faried make 11 million next year. Lawson makes 12. For this to happen, Ariza has to be gone.

Ariza, KPap, Dorsey, Jones, Prigs, Filler/picks for Lawson and Gallo/Faried

Gallos value is down because he's injury prone so it could work.

I'm a fan of possibly three or four teaming this trade and bringing in Gallo, Faried, and Collison.

Something along the lines of this (but not exactly)

    Houston in: Gallo, Faried, Collison
Kings in: Henson, Bayless, future rockets 1st
Bucks in: Lawson, 2017 Kings 1st, S&T Terry
Nuggets in: Mayo, Ariza, KPap, Jones, Dorsey, Prigs

Resign KJ using MLE, sign Stoudemire to vet min
    Rockets roster would then be:
    Collison/Bev/Johnson
    Harden/KJ
    Gallo/Brewer/Dekker
    Faried/DMo/Harrell/Wood
    Howard/Capela/Amare

    Deep and lethal.

    Would never happen though.

Losing Josh means not being abLe to trade jones who I would think is a piece needed to trade for a pg. If not we'd have to trade other assets so either way, letting smith walk means losing another asset in trade. So as much as its be nice to see dallas make another stupid move 1) it won't matter to them how much they're paying bc they aren't going anywhere anyway and 2) it ends up just hurting us

You'd think that Cuban would start looking at the 5 before he started working on dirks BU.

The Rockets already have Kenneth Faried, his name is Montrezl Harrell

Dirk to play center now just like Duncan. If Dallas has both Parsons and Smooth, Dwight to Dallas next summer is probable?

    Lol true

But jokes aside, Faried is proven and could fit perfectly with our run and gun offense.

I see no upside to losing Josh.

Cyberex, Can you go in depth with your statement? What range do you think they will offer? Is the indications you are getting from the Mavs side or the Smooves camp? I find it hard to believe.

That's not a joke.....I was being serious. Faried is pretty awful, there's a reason why pretty much all Nuggets fans want him gone. He wouldn't start here and the Rockets already have him on the roster, there's no way we'd be interested in trading for an overpaid version of the guy we just drafted.

The upside would be that it's funny the Mavs would be overpaying another former Rocket. For Smith to leave a championship contender that he's happy with to play on a disaster of a Mavs squad, they'd have to offer him a ton of money.

I'd like Smith to stay, but if the Mavs throw 15 mil a year at him, I'll laugh.

I have a feeling Josh is gone.....that's too much money in cap space in the market now and he's probably the best FA still out there. Like KlutchQT said there's no way this is good for us.....screw Cuban.
